  • I was supposed to be helping install this lift kit along with other projects but it didn’t happen. Fortunately I still got a video of the fun! How easy is this install? I don’t know but it was entertaining!

Why does none of these videos show how y’all got those stupid original sway bar end links off without cutting them off

Those are always a pain and usually worn out so might as well cut them off

Al Tan did a great job figuring things out. He is a good guy to have in an off road trip. Thanks for watching!

Y all the straps and stuff i just changed my struts and upper control arms and litteralyy just put a jack to hold hub and lower control arm take off 24 mm lower strut arm remove 18 upper strut bolt jack up hub assembly put 24 mm bolt back on smack with hammer lower hub a little smack again and remove two upper bolts bang and out of course that was passenger after taking 7 hours of learning doing drivers side but yea all that strap stuff is sooooo unneeded

That was the first one Al Tan did. I was supposed to help. I have a spring compressor and several tools that would have been easier but it didn’t work out. Thanks for watching! 👍

I watched someone do something like this with out the proper tools and it was funny when the ambulance took him to the hospital with broken ribs

That would have been funny. We’ll try that next time and hopefully get it on video. I like “how not to do” stuff.

So keep my trailblazer or sell it lol?

AlTan still has his and it is going strong. I think it has around 200,000 miles on it. It still needs a winch and off road bumpers, but that doesn’t slow him down. 😁

Warning don't lift your trailblazer I did and broke my front akles and differential It was only a 2"
1" going to put longer bolts in
    And sold 1" spacer
2" was to much the axles rub on the lower a arm

I don’t think Al Tan had that problem with his Trailblazer. He has had the lift on it for a while now. Thanks for the warning though. Anytime you change the factory suspension geometry there is the potential to run into problems. You usually find the next weakest link in the chain.

I did the rough country leveling kit, lifts the front 2".My cv joints have been worn out for a while and I've still not had any breakage after off roading a few times.I have a recent vid up of me wheeling it.I tend to take it easy off road,I have a lot of traction and the engine is running bad so down on power, that helps. My TB came with a G80 rear, and I added a bunch of weight to the back for driving it 2wd in winter,it seems to help off road as well. The thing just creepy crawls through everything.

This would be much easier if you spring compressors... highly recommend

For what there not needed on this strut unless 3rd bolt is removed just jack up hub from bottom hub bolt a inch smack bolt on lower arm that holds strut and release pressure on jack ...

    • @allenbrandon1031
      @allenbrandon1031 3 роки тому

@@justinolson927 because you added 3 inches onto the strut from where it was designed to be. It would of made it easier but wasn’t necessary

yeah brother a lot of hard frustrating work but that feeling you get when it works like its supposed too, wouldn't have it any other way. Just being on the next challenge that's what makes it fun. Looking forward to future installments.

You cant get a trailblazer 4×4 stuck. I've tried, I've had 2 4ed and have road by so many 250, 350 all day, lol. But if you own one and want to have fun with it, become a trailblazer Mechanics specialist. Have my first 2wd w/4200 vortec and lowering this one. Going from backwoods to the streets

That sounds like a cool project. There is a channel Coastal Racecraft. He has an SS he Drag Races. It is brutal.

You can get anything stuck if you play in the right place.
