    Have you thought about doing a working holiday (H-1) in Korea? For Canadians you can stay in Korea for up to 2 years and possibly apply for it a second time and stay for another 2 years. You would have to go back to Canada and apply for it there but it only took me (I’m American) like a month to get everything ready and to receive my visa papers.

      Thank you for sharing ☺️ Would this be working for a korean company then because the problem with that is most companies want foreigners with marketing/business experience which I don’t have haha 😅

      @@cutthelandline I’m pretty sure you can’t do English teaching in that visa but A lot of people just work remote on that visa. But I’m not really sure what jobs you can do in Korea as a Canadian on the H-1 visa.

    My hagwon is still hiring, if you don’t mind a 9-6 job in Gyeonggido.

      that's very sweet! but that'll be a little too far, and i don't think i can do another hagwon haha. how is your experience though?

    I can’t remember if you’ve answered this, but is this your first “real” job out of college? For what it’s worth, I feel like everyone hates their job/gets stuck in a kind of rut.

      Haha yeah I feel that, it was my first full time job out of college yes! I think with staying here tho there’s no career growth that I can picture so I kind of feel like I’m wasting time…. although I still love the city. Arghh such a hard decision 🙃🫠

      @@cutthelandline Why don’t you move back to Canada, get into the career you want, then after some gained experience try to land the same job in Korea?
      Sure it might take some years, but that’s what I would do if I were in your position and really wanted to live in Korea but also have a career I see myself doing long term.

      @@Csgo-beast yeah I think I’m leaning towards this honestly

      @@cutthelandlineI guess the only problem with this route is that it might be hard to get a job in another field with no Korean language skills. But depending on the career you’re set on, it might be easier or harder to find such jobs in Korea 🤔

    • @cutthelandline
      @cutthelandline  2 дні тому

      @@Csgo-beast yeah i think only jobs that i would be interested in would be digital marketing jobs, but yeah the language part will prob always be a barrier. maybe a global marketing job in seoul might be doable in the future...

    there is always the option of visa through marriage and if that didn't work out try north korea (it's just like korea but more eco-friendly)
