GT2 in a nutshell: 25 hours on Licenses. 50 hours trading used japanese cars. 200 hours looking at Escudo Pikes Peak rear. 100 hours collecting cars. 10 years fooling around. 2 years consuming memes.
Also 12 hours of repeating defeating the Ford Cheating-40 multiple times in Rome Circuit historic cup with a Nissan Skyline GT-R C10 and trying to beat two cheating Vector M12 LM in Trial Mountain 30 laps with 260 BHP Daihatsu Miget.
I just found out the map in the background is Tokyo, South city is the bottom of Manhattan New York West City is Rome the circle in the map is the coliseum and North city is London
Same. I was hyped to have a Supra as my first car. Except 12-year old me did not understand the concept of braking BEFORE you turn, much less taking turns from the outside to the inside. So, naturally, I thought it sucked and spun out too much and started over using a Prelude, or something like that.
For me, this is what started it all. Specifically, this place and its Used Cars shop. I'm far far ahead into simracing now, but man, I can't think of a more humble beginning than this.
Man this takes me back! One of my first cars was a Blue Mica MR2 1600 G-Limited Supercharger '86. Loved the damn thing until I saved up and bought the Honda S2000
Yeah, the Escudo Pikes Peak is amazing and all, but my car was the Toyota GT-One. It was beautiful. spent the young years of my life grinding races and selling cars for it, license challenges, the works. until. I got enough. on the week of Christmas of 2006. my hard work and labor paid off. I raced it around a couple of times on the oval race track (cant remember the name.) But I do remember the sound of the engine. like a goddamned rocket. And then it was time for bed.... My Sister, in her infinite wisdom. removed the memory card from the ps2 while It was loading or logging off or something. I instantly freaked out, and went to put the card back in. booted up the game, and to my shock and horror, the entire save file was corrupted. To say I was shattered is an understatment; usually a person hits an age in the double digits before they realize all their hard work can have no pay off. Suffice to say I never really went back after that, life moved on, and that anger and sadness faded into memory. I got one track, and a handful of races in the GT-One. But damn was it a good few races. Listening to the city themes takes me back to the hours I spent looking at those pieces of mastercrafted polygonal automobiles. the days where earning credits in a racing game was the most important thing in the world. It also reminds me of that moment which I can only describe as traumatic. But nowadays the whole package is a warm, welcoming sort of nostalgia. Maybe one day I'll put together my old PS2, and right that wrong now over a decade old. Maybe i'll get back to earning licenses, winning and losing races, ever working towards that blessed GT-One.
GT-One is actually much faster than Escudo on High Speed if you tune it with Stage 4 Turbo. Escudo's advantage is it's fast acceleration and rally capability but on Test Course, GT-One will Escudo a run for its worth.
Japanese brand with the best reliable car in the world! What I am saying is Toyota Nissan and Honda still got great confidence with great reliability and repairability. No joke that if you driving in snow or storm but your car breakdown, but only Japanese cars could give me that confidence for driving through about it.
