PNS Ghazi was the most advanced warship at that time which was provided/gifted to Pakistanis by Americans.
Still an underdog like INS Rajput sank it.
Or even if Ghazi sank itself it was still a massive failure of Pakistan army
Was not the most advanced one but rather an old type. America gave it to us when they retired it and it was not in good condition and still it worked in 1965 and 1971 until it's mine dispensing system stopped working and it got destroyed. This mission was known to navy that it was a suicide and it don't have anything with professionalism of our army but rather at that time our soldiers were not capable of fixing it ourselves cause submarines were still a foreign weapon for us. Seriously touch the grass
Only quality Ghazi had was that it was long range otherwise it shouldn't be used in battle. The resources were limited at that time and Pak Navy wanted to stop INS Vikrant to move. That's why they sent the sub for this deadly mission.

I served in PNS Ghazi from 1964 to 1967 (3 years). I don’t remember the crew were trained for mine laying during my tenure. This was done later. Rise of hydrogen level is very dangerous. This was the possibility of its destruction. This has also occurred in U.S. submarines.Hydrogen levels above 2.5 is fatal. At this level the battery system should be shut down. Submarine should be ventilated through schnorkeling. This was available in Ghazi. Or conditions permitting submarine should surface to ventilate.

It may be a confusion....But one thing for sure , which this report also accepts , that Indians are fully aware of Ghazi mission and its objectives. If is it so then how can it be possible that India has not taken any countermeasure against the possible PAK submarine attack ??? My grandfather also participated in this war on behalf of India, he was an army engineer. He told me that before the surrender, Pakistani soldiers had looted a lot of money and expensive goods in Dhaka, which was recovered from them during the surrender process. it was very embarrassing for their officers. Another thing he told me was that the Pakistani soldiers were so coward that they were saluting even the sweepers of the Indian Army. And he always used to say that the Indian Army has done a bigger job than defeating Pakistan and that is to save the Pakistani soldiers and their families from the vengeance of the Bengali people. Otherwise not a single Pakistani or their family members would have survived, and their end would have been very pitiful.
