I still miss my XB I used to have. Didn't know there was a 4WD version.
I owned an 06 Xbox, seeing this video legit made me miss that car! Great little car
The best. I have a 2005. Only 75K miles so far. Won't trade it for anything.
Same. I had a 2005 xB for about 5 years (I have a walk around video on my channel). Awesome little trucklets.
The XB had a floor mounted automatic transmission selector instead of the column mounted selector in the bB
@Tony Romano A column shifter is the way it's supposed to be. This floor-mounted business is simply cheaper for the manufacturers, and now they like to stick all kinds of electronics in that stupid center console that eats up all the knee room. I think the reason the xB came with a floor shifter was because Toyota couldn't successfully shift (no pun intended) everything over to the other side when designing a LHD version. Also, it was offered with a manual in the US, so they just used the same hole in the floor for both.
I still have my 05 xb with a 5 speed manual. It's still running strong just hit 250k last month.
Hi guy;s welcome from New Zealand, I have had 3 bB;s my friends family have two RHD front drive I personally have put approx 5 people onto the bB and not one has come back saying that they are unhappy with their bB's Toyota you had a winner in the car. Thank for the video!
The rear seat in the bB slides back and forward, unlike the xB. Very nice feature!
I can’t wait till we can get this in the US. 2025. My XB had 360,000 before getting rear ended.
We have a few Scion XB's we use as company cars and they're decently fun to drive and get good MPG (around 30). We use them in IT and the boxy shape is great to haul tons of equipment. The bench seat is interesting with the column shifter which neither of those we get in the states.
That's interesting that the USA never got the bench. Now I'm off to see pictures.
4wd has the exhaust tip on the left side. The lover parts of the bumper can be changed to fwd so you can have 2 tips or No tips on the rear.
Spare tyre at angle because of rear diff..cheers top vid
That's just crazy to see a 4 wheel drive one 🙂 I have the 05 🤗
I love the bb/xb, uniquely Japanese & super reliable! I own a 12’ xb & i love it to death!
Very Good condition
Why we did not get that version? Also it's very interesting bB this is what Scion should have bring here in the United States.
"Should have bring"?
@@paulparoma he stroked out on that part
@@fakealexstrong Evidently!
I would like to have the Full option variant of these
-Sunroof,
-Awd
-2Din head unit w/ premium sound system, -Factory spoiler
-60/40 rear backseat partition
i saw one already last week in Japan Auction.♥️😍💯👌🏼
Btw yours pretty neat and clean vehicle too👌🏼
Idle shakes is engine and transmission mounts
To the new owner of this car: I'm in Halifax and used to own an AWD bB...get in touch with me 🙂
do you stil have it?
Why?
I’ve always wanted to 4wd swap my scion xB 😩
In regards to the shaking... From my understanding, this is 'normal'. The XB had the same issues as well. Mine does too. It comes from the air intake. I cleaned everything around it and reduced it but not removed. It's worse when the A/C is on. If you ever figure it out on your OD post a video of it! It would be cool to see what your solution would be. I could never find anything personally without replacing the original setup.
You can also see mild shakes in this XB as well if you look closely. It's not as bad when the RPM is higher above 750's though, not sure if it's a factor here.
We have the shaking on the Open Deck too. It doesn't bother me a lot. It's not a luxury car.
Clean the throttle body carb intake flap.. make sure it's clean right down to the metal no crap or gunk. If it don't fix the issue, I will buy you 3 rounds of drinks. 😊
Were the Open Deck versions offered in 4WD? if not it might be time for someone to do a conversion.
Can you add a 2nd 12v outlet in the rear? I have a 2005 and need a second one.
toyota bb is cool car.
No fog lamps. Will need some aftermarket ones.
Put your bb in neutral at a stop light to see if the shaking stops, chances are you have a weak motor mount.
Thanks
Any idea of this car's whereabouts in canada?
@9:35 Nooooooo! Don't go in there, you might get trapped! (Inside joke)
I forgot about that. haha.
Big import question : I'm here in the US, Tennessee, wanting to import a Suzuki Jimny Wide... Would it be possible to do that for 5k total or would I need more?
Most likely need more
Shaking at idle is worn engine motor mounts replace it with genuine Toyota and you are good to go.
Do you think these can be imported into the US (25 years) law whatnot? Or is that just for cars we didn’t get?
We have this car in the United States they do make exceptions I think this one can import since it's the same car except its 4WD.
@@1985toyotacamry Since the mfg is listed as "Toyota" and not "Scion", and the fact that this 4wd and trim were never sold in the U.S., I don't think this is exempt from the 25 year law. Canadians have it easier since their limit is only 15 years, but us Americans have to wait an extra decade.
@@emi9294 I mean it's same car just a different name. Have the same engine. But knowing the United States government they would pull that out of their asses
@@1985toyotacamry The biggest hurdles would be EPA and NHSTA.
It would be a very very rare case that a non-US spec car would be allowed to be imported legally to the US and registered for road use without requiring EXPENSIVE alterations if it's under 25 years.
Even when an equivalent model was sold in the US.
The (albeit slight) structural and mechanical differences are exactly why it might not be allowed: glass thickness, reflector color, reflector location, bumper size, bumper shape, crash bar/crumple zone shapes, airbag types, driveline types, light locations, etc... all affect the result of a crash test. and then there's emissions...
And though not as much of a legal issue in much of the US, you should convert the headlights to the LHD lenses/reflectors, to see the road better and keep from blinding oncoming traffic. Depending where you are in the world, this is actually very illegal to have headlights that will dazzle oncoming traffic.
I had no idea the XB was never sold in Canada how strange is that? It is too bad they discontinued it but I guess they didn't want to bother re-badging it after they ended the Scion brand as Toyota and KIA already has the Soul so maybe not enough room for 2 similar cars?
We didn't get Scion at all.
its because initially scion was sort of an experimental thing and they launched in like california and NY then it got popular and scion came to canada after 2008, so we only got the 2nd gens
It's not quite the same engine as in the Prius. That one is an Atkinson cycle.
УУУУУХХХХХ КАКАЯ ЖЕ ПОНТОВАЯ ТАЧКА МЕЧТА МОЯ!!!!!!!!
Shaking at idle can be bad engine mounts
Or misfire/ needs a tune up
