"in other words, sheep are ferromagnetic, cats are paramagnetic"
    I love it!

I wish Sir Lawrence Bragg was my high school teacher...or that we could have at least watched these videos in class. Great vids! =)

    Great series!
What is that spinning wheel called (in Curie Point demo) and what material is it made of?

It's fascinating seeing someone who was working in science, actually winning a Nobel prize, at the same time that Wegener predicted the theory of continental drift explain it 50 years later, after it had been proved correct

He does have a very pleasant personality and that makes his lectures so much more effective.

Well, now I know that there is more to magnetism than just picking up pins.

i think that everything has a paramagnetic attraction and that gravity is just a force of magnetism from earths magnetic field? 🤔🤷‍♂️

gravity is always attractive. You never see two bodies in space repel each other. There are non-magnetic objects called diamagnetic substances. Carbon, nitrogen, etc.

Gravity is a dielectric acceleration of a ferro substance to a null pressure zone...IE inertia acceleration (Ether)

Now explain this to a flat Earthier and there whole world will unravel right before them.

That's it. All the teachers in grade school need to be replaced with the Ri videos.

So according to this experiment our Magnetic South pole is located at Earth's Geographical North Pole. And vice versa..

Our magnetic South Pole is up north, correct, although it wanders over time and is not precisely at the North Geographic Pole. The magnetic North Pole is somewhere in Antarctica.
