BC Wildfire and Thompson Rivers University collaboration

Thompson Rivers University and BC Wildfire Service are building a home base for the next generation of wildfire scientists and managers.
Throughout their careers, students and firefighters will be able to ladder up through basic skills training, certificates and diploma programs into bachelor’s and master’s degrees. The vision is of a curriculum as complex and multifaceted as the challenge of wildfire, encompassing operations, science, health, human behaviour and more.
This partnership will resource and enable a whole-of-society response to one of the quintessential issues of our time.
