Thank you for this video. Where are the people? I was born and raised in the tenement slums of the South Bronx. We were crammed into congested, tiny apartments. I'm used to congestion, crowds, noise around the clock....
Home sweet Hamtramck 💕 Coney dogs are chili dogs. The call to prayer was what they heard when they pulled into the Hamtramck Stadium (baseball) area which is undergoing major renovations. The flags on Campau are sponsored by community members and coordinated thought our Human Relations Commission. Thanks for visiting!
In the 99 years since its incorporation, every mayor of Hamtramck has been Polish American. That will end January 2, 2022 in Hamtramck's centenary year, when Amer Ghailib will be inaugurated, along with an entirely Muslim city council. With every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction.
The videos are beautiful. However, I thought that taking road trips was about stopping into communities, getting out of your car and actually meeting some of the people who live there and discovering things about neighborhoods. What are you learning on this trip if you are just googling a few facts that it doesn’t even seem like you are reading and just speeding through neighborhoods with a narrative based on your preconceived ideas? Travel can really be amazing and expanding if you keep yourself open to the possibilities of learning and experiencing new things!
Lol and coneys are not footlong hotdogs. Detroit is known for our coney (chili) dogs that have coney sauce, onions and mustard only on a steamed bun. Go to American or Lafayette Coney Island downtown. They are the most popular coney restaurants in the city
A Detroit Coney Dog is a perticular style of hot Dog that's bigger with a natural casing in a steamed bun and toped with seasoned no-bean beef Chili, yellow mustard and minced white onion! (Shredded cheese is optional)
Take Katie to Ann Arbor. And then come over the west side of Michigan which is the best side. Grand Rapids Traverse city. Lake Michigan beautiful beaches & lakeshores.
I 💙 Dearborn! I grew up there. Living in the warmer south now but miss the food, smiles and cultural variety. I wish someone would do short restaurant tour videos.
