Super cool but does it affect image upon starting camera?

The adapter ring itself does not affect image, I have no problem with it at all. Although I have noted some people with RX100 iii model ended up having shadows in the corners of an image while using the built-in flash. But if you are like me and you do not use the flash that comes with RX100 iii you are safe.

@@filipspirit6814 Awesome. Thought of getting the 'mag filter' but this one seems more secure & reliable. Do you use a ND fader or UV filter?

@@OneDoseExtraa Yep, Mag filters are quite popular but you need to ask yourself a question if you are ok with the ring being magnetic (you can drop the ring together with your expensive filter attached to it when accidently bumping with your camera into something). Here you just glue it on and there is no way it fells down on the ground. Regarding your second question, currently I use only CPL filter but it may be worth considering to buy an ND filter especially if you have a newer model of RX100 that does not have any internal ND filter - I know that some users of newer RX100 models are complaining while recording their footage outside and external ND filter attached thanks to the ring like this one helps quite a lot with their video recording. Hope it helped!

I used it on my RX100 mark III camera, and everytime I rotate my CPL filter to adjust the intensity, the adapter came off. I think I have pressed the adapter hard enough so I can say that I installed it correctly. Do you experience this too? My solution at the moment is to just fit my filters loosely so that to use my CPL filter, I rotate the whole filter to change the intensity (and because I fitted them loosely, it doesn't need much force to rotate the filter, so that the adapter doesn't receive the rotating force)
Is there something I possibly did wrong maybe?

Do you know how to remove the adapter ring safely?

Hi, I haven't tried to remove it. Honestly, I cannot think of a reason why doing it - maybe except for having my camera about 2mm slimmer? Other than that, the adapter stays on my camera all the time, even though I mostly do not use filters on this particular machine. But if I decided to remove it maybe I would carefully try to use a razor to separate it from the lens - the glass should stay unaffected while performing it this way since it is not glued to the glass.

I managed to remove it by passing a fishing line

Dental floss would do it as well.....
