That was insane! Didn't know you could just jig a fly like that with a spinning rod. You should bring a Tenkara rod next time. It looks so much fun.

Don't wait til you are older.
Find a place near you that you can fish now.
Fish it all the time.
Take any chance you can go with anyone that would take you and learn how they fish. Most of all have fun.
I’m also 14 and you should be trying to do as much outdoors now as you have the time that may not be available later in life

I wish we had more of these beautiful and clean places to fish in the UK. It's so hard to do research and make sure you will not get fined for fishing in a 'private' water who knows has the rights to fish in...
