Jason, just found your channel. I appreciate you sharing your knowledge! We are a small church with very limited knowledge, budget and equipment. You taking the time to explain even the simplest things is a huge help. Small churches need a resource like you! Our church has the 1st generation Mevo camera. We connect wirelessly to an iPad and then the iPad uses a cell phone connection to live stream to Facebook. We use the audio from the mixer (using a mix out like you (I think). It works surprisingly well (as of late since the cell reception has improved). We don't have access to hard wired internet. All that to say this, we would like to upgrade to a camera with zoom and pan capabilities. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks again for all you do.
Are you wanting to be able to remote zoom and pan? Or will you have a camera operator to work the camera?

Hi Jason, thank you for the videos! New subscriber here. Just a quick question. What is the box you are using to run the audio from soundboard to mevo? I think you call it a light channel? Is this just an audio box? Thanks!
In my church we have an indirect lighting ‘shelf’ running down one side of the church. I put the cable connecting my Mevo to my soundboard in this light channel.
Hello, how did you flip the camera feed for the middle camera? (I have an existing camera mount on the ceiling, so I'm trying to make sure that I can flip the camera feed if I mount the camera upside down) Thank you!
It’s in the image adjustments in the Mevo software. Flip can be on, off or auto.
everyone i watch does the same mistake on these Church setups. Sound should be captured from the soundboard to the ipad and not to the cameras.
What is the reasoning there?
Hello Jason nice video I'm just getting started on live stream. We do it all ready but on iphone and I have a month or so that I began to use pro presenter 7 a pretty good tool much appreciated for your time to explain some of this especially to the ones like me that are new to this thank you

I do so with a XLR to 3.5mm about 50ft long. Have used a wireless mic (saramonic blink 500) to get sound to and from.

And also when you reply the other questions on this Video about the USB- c adapter. If l understand right. The adapter is PoE enable and your router is a PoE router. And only one Ethernet cable will carry both data and power to your mevo and the mevo ok with it. Because l tried a couple of other adapters and my mevo either accept data or power not both. And the Mevo site Ethernet adapter is out of stock for a while now!
Only the Mevo PoE adapter carries both in the same cable. The router I’m using at church does not carry power via ethernet. I’m using the USB port on the router to power the Mevo via usb-c cable and connecting to its data via ethernet cable.
Well, our church is just about the opposite of your install. We have three DSLR cameras on tripods, three PCs (ProPresenter, OBS and sound [tracks]), and we switch the video and lyrics in OBS and there is Presonus 32SC sound board into a wired internet line; one projector, one stage monitor and one monitor in foyer. That is the one sentence recap. I brought up MEVO a few months back and our leader did not have many comments on them. Thanks for your recap of your install.

One again thank you for the video. I follow your module trying to help my church to set up mevo for live streaming. I tried to connect one of mevo with Ethernet ,like you did , it only give me choice of cellular to connect with mevo hotspot. After getting the connection. I check the network strength within the app, it didn’t even try to finish it but say the connection is week and drop the connection. What is the procedures to set one mevo with Ethernet and the other two wit Wi-Fi. Your advises would be appreciated.

What Ethernet device do you use?
The router in this install is a TPLink AC1900
@@JasonHoffmanYT Is it possible to set one up in centerfield, and focused on the pitcher/batter shot, could this ethernet do this?
@@rickgodley1018 that’s just going to have to be tested. It’ll be a solid 300 feet away right?

@@rickgodley1018 I dont think the router I use would handle it but a Wi-Fi 6 unit or a mesh network would be able to. If this were the route I was exploring I might make an Amazon purchase of a router to try and lean heavily on their return policy if it didn’t work as hoped.
Great videos Jason! In your list of components you show the Uni usb-c ethernet adapter but that one has no power delivery. What are you using, visible at 1:36 to power your Mevo and supply the Ethernet. I have been searching for something reliable that I can leave on and when I think I have found it, I come in the following Sunday only to find the Mevo battery dead because the usb-c ethernet device had stopped charging the camera. I have tried several and they either don’t work at all or stop charging the camera. They do work at home on my iPad when testing it for use at the church though. Thanks again for all your efforts with Mevo and I do appreciate any light you can shed on this.

I have run a usb cable from the USB port on the router to the Mevo Start to provide power.
