I am just beginning to experiment with monoprinting, and have found it so difficult to discover resources on how to learn the technique. This was very helpful and so well explained. It is such beautiful work.
I did this technique in monoprinting class in college. I remember thinking what was the point of painting on the plexiglass just to print it on the paper. Why not just do a painting on paper.. but then I pulled my print and I understood why… the nuances you get when printing is nothing like a painting. I noticed you didn’t wet your paper before printing.. why? We always wet the paper and also we used oil paints. Ty for your tutorial, very inspiring ❤
Love your method and the rich, vibrant depth and mark making of your prints!! I am enthralled every time.
Just stunning, Rebecca and thank you for explaining your process. I love the depth of your images.
I love watching your techniques, and your art is lovely, but so is your smile!!
