Hey man….first time I’ve ever seen your stuff…super nice one horned buck…been looking into tree saddles for elk hunting here in Idaho…I’ve used stands but want to try saddles…great stuff and new subscriber 👊🏻
It is when you’re in the right spot covered up in deer. I’ve sat all day and not seen a deer but I was on a beast ! He was a 187” 351 lb bruiser that I eventually got. That’s big for Louisiana. It still holds the record for weight with a bow on a NWR and for the state !
The shot with the sun reflecting of the insect wings and deer in the background was very cool! Nice camera work Dave you're much improved from the early days.
Dave always has good content, for sure. He seems to be a good deer hunter as well so those deer better hide somewhere good and beware of all things that sound like a real wild turkey. They may find out he's the best turkey caller/hunter there is and is on another level from the rest of us mortals. If I ever see him on the NF I hunt,I'm packing up my shit and going to the house or somewhere else to hunt. I've said it before with all the turkey hunters in this country, how does Dave not have a million subs already?!?!
It’s not that our deer are skittish, it’s the pressure ! I have a place in Louisiana and they’re not skittish. I have a lot of deer but I don’t get to see them making rubs and scrapes and I don’t hear the vocalization like I do up north !
I live in true south Alabama. (Midstate 30 minutes from Florida line) Harvesting a mature doe or buck with a bow is a huge accomplishment. These deer walk through the woods looking up I kid you not however my lease an hour and a half north is the opposite. Hunting in the other states Illinois, Kentucky, Missouri etc. it’s “easier” to harvest a mature deer. Comment what you want but that goes for turkey as well
Come to indiana public and try to kill a mature deer. Not being a meat head here by any means. I’ve been doing it for 18 years, i get nervous when i see a big doe cause there’s a good chance she’s gonna blow the woods out. Now the turkeys are pretty easy to kill, if you don’t over call, I’ll give ya that one lol
It was a fun hunt to be on with you Dave. Sounds like there were as many woodies as deer ! My grandfather called em squealers ! Isn’t it fun watching deer when they’re not harassed ! I’m fortunate to have a place I own in Louisiana that is notorious for big deer and have taken several Louisiana record book deer off of ! I also hunt northeast Nebraska and I had never seen anything like what I get to see up there ! Big deer making rubs and scrapes big fights and the vocalization of deer from bucks grunting bleating and snort wheezes to the does that make so many different sounds communicating with each other and their fawns. There’s one bottom that all the fawns go when they are knocked off their moms are their moms have been taken. It sound like a sheep farm with all of them bleating continuously ! It’s funny you bleat and ten would come running looking for you ! I turkey hunt up there too, it’s loaded with birds. A lot of hybrids but they gobble just as good as any of them lol ! Hope we get to see you take your target on that place !!
You talked about this huge walk you had in the morning then right away you hear a vehicle. Then a gun range opens not to far away and then I hear a backup alarm. Sounds like your in the suburbs not way out in the bush.
You can hear a long ways on a crisp morning. But the walk wasn't overwhelming- just lots and zig zagging through the swamps to hit the beaver dams to get where you where going.
How is it that you always find the woodies? I hear them in your back ground all the time. If my 10 year old son was with you, yall wouldnt have seen nothing, bc every time one of them ducks said something hed be looking.
You had a good hunt. Good luck Dave. Bunch of deer. What is that knocking sound in background. At first I though someone shooting. But it went on forever lol ?
I'll be honest where you are hunting your last couple videos along with your fortitude is commended with not taking acouple of those bucks that came into you, I commend you my Friend for the patient and the fortitude I hope you get the one for you big dog looking forward to the turkey videos this spring
That's some crazy deer activity. I've done several all day sits in a climber. Longest being 13hrs. 'Ive sat all day and not seen a thing until 20minutes before dark and killed him.
Seriously I could not get comfortable with them gun shooting all day like that that would wreck my nerves when you're in the woods you want to be relaxed you don't want to hear a bunch of 9 mm and 223s and Glock 40s obviously it was a public shooting range that you were hunting by
Awesome action. Sounds like the revolutionary war going on in the background.
Nice filming all day and a lot of good deer movement , it sure does sound like a war going on.
The wood ducks in the background make this video that much better
I sit all day in my saddle I’m comfortable all day long . Awesome sit
I hear that in the backround of my home property we bought a few years back. Like there the deer are used to it.
That’s what November morning dreams are made of! Also glad to hear the sound of freedom ringing off in the background!
Lots of freedom!
I like these deer hunts and all, but who else is ready for them thunder chicken videos!
Editing turkey videos now.
I cannot believe the number of deer that have come there. Some beautiful bucks
You have your choice for sure.
Great video.
Great vidio.
Love it Dave.
Thanks cuz.
Action packed day, for sure. 👍👍
Great day in the woods for sure! The range is a little annoying but I think I could get over it with all the bucks runnin round! Great content!
Most definately.
Get it Dave!
The saddle is still killin’ it. 👍
Awesome vid D.O.! Keep up the great work baw.
30 in november? man i wish lol great hunt man!!
Hey man….first time I’ve ever seen your stuff…super nice one horned buck…been looking into tree saddles for elk hunting here in Idaho…I’ve used stands but want to try saddles…great stuff and new subscriber 👊🏻
Thanks! And the saddle has really changed the game for me.
Those are the ones you can really enjoy, regardless if you shoot one!!
Surprised that there hasn't been any fall londbeards in the deer vids!
Man that was awesome!! I wish I was further north or where ever that is 😂. Thanks for sharing.
Great hunt, that was as good as your turkey hunts.
It's not easy to sit all day. Only done it one time and never again will I do it. AWSOME video thanks for sharing 👍

It's really isn't. I've intended to a few times but never pulled it off. But with this many deer around the entire day flew by.
I love hunting back side of gun ranges too lol
A bit nerve racking. LoL
Days like that make you remember why you put in the time. Just because you don't take a deer, doesn't mean you can't enjoy the woods like that.
Is that a gun range in the back ground, surely that's not rifle season? I heard many shots over the yrs but damn
The shot with the sun reflecting of the insect wings and deer in the background was very cool! Nice camera work Dave you're much improved from the early days.
It's all luck. Haha!
@@pinhotiproject Let's hope Squirrel finds some of that luck in the 2023 turkey season. lol

You ever noticed how less skiddish deer outside of the deep south are?

You can’t even grunt or rattle. They don’t even stop to see. They just run
@@hardearned Turkey are tough in bama for sure. Those public land birds know the deal.

Awesome rut hunt

I seem always find a swamp during the fall.
What a hunt! only thing that could have been better was not having to listen to all those shots lol.
There's not much nappin' when you hunt there. Ha!
You had a good hunt. Good luck Dave. Bunch of deer.

Shooting range he's hunting right next to.
Definitely shooting.

I'm typically no where near as patient.
That's some crazy deer activity. I've done several all day sits in a climber. Longest being 13hrs. 'Ive sat all day and not seen a thing until 20minutes before dark and killed him.
You're tougher than me. I can't make myself do it without a lot of action.
@@pinhotiproject Mine was also in a Summit. Seeing deer definitively helps.
I had a morning one year where 23 different bucks passed by me. The day before i saw 13. November in the deer woods!!!!
Damn them guys sure had a but load of ammo.
No doubt.
I would love to see the buck that broke that ones beam off. Wind right, I would leave my sticks on tree and get back in it early next morning.
I'll be back. Stay tuned.
How high are you in the tree?
I’m usually 18-20 ft
Son I'd say you's in'em
Do you live in the southern tier area
You need to rename the video “What it sounds like to shoot $100,000 worth of ammo.”
Hahaha! I had a headache by the time I left.
You was in a hot spot for sure
You hunting in a war zone? Gun shots going off every other second lol
Next level gun range activity, no doubt.
Sounds like you’re hunting on a gun range
Just outside one. Seriously. LoL
november 13 is a lucky day for me
You hunting around some rich folks with that much ammo to burn.
I wish I had a day's worth of their ammunition.
Lil late on the video id say lol
These people need to stop shooting!

It takes some getting used to. But seeing 100 deer helps.😂
WTH is all that knocking noise?
Those would be gun shots..
25 min of watching and no kill. Wtf
Yeah. . . I don't kill one every time I go like most folks.
