- For over 40 years Val Kilmer, one of Hollywood's most mercurial and/or misunderstood actors has been documenting his own life and craft through film and video. The best was when he accepted some award and started slobbering all over himself while giving an acceptance speech.
He shouldn’t have smoked should he? Guess he’ll just have to suffer the consequences.

"I'm your huckleberry". A line so innocuous yet carried so much weight when spoken by an acting genius. Everyone knows Val should have received an Oscar for his supporting role in Tombstone.

One of those actors that you didn't like as a kid, but then realize you didn't like him because the character he portrayed, and that he's actually an amazing actor.

oh, there are plenty of other reasons.
Val Was known as a nightmare to his fellow actors and directors throughout his entire career. He went as far as sabotaging productions if he didn’t get his own way, and verging on punch ups. A total car crash of a human being.
What is interesting is how people like him because of the characters he portrays or because this documentary somehow vindicates him of his horrendous behaviour in the past. It’s a shame Val is not well, but that should not excuse his past actions because of this vanity project. On the flip side, it might be he realises on reflection how bad he was and is some how trying to make amends.
The way he played Jim Morrison was totally awesome.
My cousin was an extra in the Doors movie. She is briefly seen in a concert scene in the front row as a groupie. She said Val was always in character even when the camera wasn’t rolling. He would flirt as Jim with all the female extras too.
Well agreed! He should’ve won an Oscar for his role as Jim Morrison in The Doors.
But doesn’t do the real Jim any justice.
How cool is this!!! Like a documentary, based on self shot and personal video diaries, and not just a camera crew following everything. Definitely looking forward to watching it

Best Doc Holliday ever. No one can touch that performance. Poor Dennis Quaid never stood a chance.
And Dennis was great. Val was just on another level. No Oscar is a travesty and the Oscars are worse for it. One of the all time great performances.

One of the greatest actors ever. He could do comedy, drama, impersonate, sing, dance, It's heartbreaking to see him in this condition, but I'm glad he's still around.
Facts... Doc Holiday was never done better!
Artists destroy themselves it seems if they have a great soul. The lesser ones stick around to become darlings of the industry. The ones with so much fire and magic that they shine, almost always shine briefly. If you are a watcher of such things you are only grateful you got to see it at all.

@@lt4324 there are a number of films about Doc Holliday and Wyatt Earp and the events in Tombstone including Gunfight at O.K. Corral in 1957, Wyatt Earp with Kevin Costner released in 1994 and are others.
Everyone's forgetting his best work, Top Secret of course.
