Hi there! 👋🏻 We live on a 1-acre farm right in the middle of the busy city of Phoenix, Arizona! Our names are Kevin & DaNelle, and we moved here in 2009, when our kids Ethan & Lydia were just 6 & 4 years old 🥰 Over the years we've raised goats for milk, chickens for eggs, built a fish/swim pond, planted fruit & nut trees, and grew a large garden full of veggies. We've also raised a bunch of other animals like pigs, sheep, turkeys, geese, peacocks, and more!
Now that our kids are away at college, we have settled into doing what we love most -- which is raising & breeding goats ethically to improve genetics. But don't worry, we'll forever love our goofy pet goats like Luna the herd queen & Willow the stump lover. We also still love raising chickens for eggs, gardening, tending to the fruit & nut trees, and growing fish in the pond. We use the fresh goat's milk to make cheese, butter, yogurt -- and we use that + everything else we harvest on our little farm to make delicious meals. Having a getaway from the busy world right in our backyard brings so much joy to us each day, and we hope it brings some to you, too. 🥰

I can’t believe Stella is a mom now. I still remember when she was born. Her babies are really cute!

Baby goats are so cute, this past week we had a goat who we thought was fairly newly pregnant, but turns out she was bred when we bought her and now we have a new baby on the farm! We definitely didn't expect to come out to feed goats in the morning to be met by 4 and not 3 goats.

They already have 2 bucks and because of the Nubian blood they're going to be bigger than the Nigerians and in a previous video they said that they can only have a certain number of goats on the property and they can have more smaller goats than they can larger goats like Luna and Stella

Roller bars on top of the feeder. Roll off when they stand on it. A rod through plastic pipe.
I can't remember what they're called, but Cog Hill has a line of flags utop their fences to keep the chickens and peacocks from flying over into the garden. Maybe it could work in the milking station! That way you could still throw hay over into the feeder and as a plus it'll add a nice bit of color to the station~

To solve your feeder problem with your chickens I would use a 3/4” pipe with pins on both ends. Then put the pins into a mount that will allow the pipe to roll. You chicken will not like the rolling pipe!

A long stick with rollers on the end connected to the posts. When the chickens get on it it rolls and they can’t stay there. A square stick might even work better. Round the ends a use pillow block bearings. .

Those baby’s kinda look more like a mix of Stella and Winston rather then Stella and Zorro... Both baby’s don’t have dark colors like Zorro, both are not polled, and they both have blue eyes... 👀🤨❓
