Good unboxing video, thanks for the review.
Questions:
1 Can more than one person be connected to the camera? That would allow two or three hunting camp members to get the same notifications at the same time.
2 Can the motion sensor be turned off completely and the camera used only for "drop-in" live feed? The use would be to monitor a horse in a stable that does not have WiFi.
Thanks for watching my review!
1) Yes you can share the cameras feed to others.
2) You can absolutely do this. You can turn the sensor on and off as you please (via the app) but at anytime can still view the “live feed”” regardless if the sensor is turned on or off. 👍
Tom Magli Update:
I was just checking my app on the Reolink Go and there is a “Share” option. Your friends and family can download the app and you can allow them access to the camera. Not sure if they will get the email and texts of the action but I’m relatively certain they’d be able to log into the camera and watch live or playback and video that has been recorded. Hope this helps 👍
I’m guessing that if you share the username and password with your hunting partners they would be able to access the video
@@angelastanislowski8862 sorry I hadn’t seen this question. That is correct. This camera has the option to “share” the camera with people of your choice. 👍
The way you do your reviews are flawlessly perfect in every aspect. Thank you!
I appreciate you taking the time to watch and for the encouraging words 👍
I just received my camera and panel, this is a great video review and explanation. You are greatly appreciated!
Thanks for your encouragement! I appreciate it. Enjoy your new cam 👍
Hey man, I just wanted to say that I truly enjoyed your indepth review of this camera. I appreciate the tests you did, very informative. You answered questions I didn't even know I had haha. I also liked your constructive negative feedback, that should be an easy fix for the developers. It looks like a great product to own, you really know how to sell it!
Thanks for watching. I appreciate your encouragement. 👍
Great review. Thank you. I just bought the Reolink Go PT. Got it all set up and hope to get it mounted up at our remote property this week.
I think you’ll live the PT! I run one and it’s absolutely amazing technology 😁
Bought the camera for my RV prior to seeing this video. Read through the directions on how to set it up, watched videos again and again but this video was by far the best. I was also interested in hearing about the Eiot Club and I plan to take advantage of his web site as well. Great job and thank you so much!
OMG! I have been banging my head on a wall trying to figure out surveillance on a rural weekend house. I stumbled across your videos and so glad I did. Your reviews and testing was thorough, you made my decision easy. I have watched so many videos and read so many articles I wish I came across yours first. Thank you.
I appreciate you watching and for the encouragement 👍
Great review of this security cam and the app to run it. Yeah, picture thumbnails would be a plus. 👍

I just ordered one cam.
I will get the service next week
Have fun with your new cam!! 😁
Great review Dave. I'd love this unit for down at my kennel and my tractor shed. Full-watch👍🏽🙂.
It would work well for that. They make a new one now that you can move remotely to cover even more ground. What they don’t come up with...😁
@@HuntingFarmerOfficial thanks Dave

That is awesome. I need one bad lol. We live way back in the woods with no internet. And the price looks just right
Yeah, we don’t have great cell service on our rural farm but it has been more than enough to operate this cam perfectly! Thanks for watching 👍
Great job on the video

Thanks for watching! I as still loving the Reolink Go!! I’m currently testing the Reolink GO PT and am equally impressed. They’re some great cameras. 👍
Outstanding Review
Thank You Friend👊🧔🇺🇸
Thanks for watching 👍
Very good review.
I think all security cameras would have a pic thumbnail. That also is my petpev for my home cameras
Thanks for watching! The good news is Reolink just released the GO Plus and that model has motion picture thumbnails!!! 👍
Excellent video. Must say I enjoyed watching the animals featured 😬 🦌🦌 🐇
Thanks for watching 👍
Hey! Great video, I can see how it’s going to work great for you. We’ve just done a review of the Reolink GO PT so you can pan and tilt it from the app. You should defiantly review that camera for yourself :)
Also we never got the camo cover! 😂
Not bad at all very cool look at this cam very neat
Thanks for watching! I appreciate it 👍
Thank you so much for the video! It was very informative.
Questions:
1. I have just bought my first 10acres of rural land. Would this product work on that size? Should I get repeaters for the cellular service setup first?
2. As a first time land buyer, what are some of the first things that you suggested I take care of and get squared away?
3. What are a few tools that every rural landowner should have?
4. My friend has a smaller, 0.47 acre piece of land right on the border of some deer hunting property. She wanted to help fellow hunters fatten up their game. What do you suggest that she grow there in abundance? I was thinking to first fence it off and grow the deer favorites just old enough for the feed to replenish itself on its own.
5. What are your thoughts about Starlink satellite system?
I look forward to your comments.
Thanks for watching! I appreciate it.
1) you definitely won’t be able to cover all 10 acres with one camera. Depending on your goal (if using for security reasons) you can place camera close to main access areas etc.
2)I’m not sure what you’re looking to do with your new property so it’s hard to suggest what a list of priorities should look like.
3) if it’s wooded or has significant amount of trees a chainsaw is something you’ll need. Downed trees blocking paths, roads, etc need to be cleared.
4) I always suggest starting out simple. Rye or winter wheat (again sorry I don’t know what area you’re in) are quick easy to grow and provide nice green for deer.
5) I’m not familiar with the starlink system.
Awesome vid!!!
Thank you. I appreciate you watching my review 👍
thanks for good review, I have installed Reolink Go Pt , my issue was battery , it drained faster than I thought , so I called customer service for help , I was informed that if PIR sensor stay on it will drain battery and also when infrared lights on , so now I keep infrared lights on off mode , and PIR sensor off , ill turn on when I need to see .
Thanks for watching! I’m assuming you had the solar panel connected to the camera? My panel keeps after but I’m sure it depends on sunlight amounts and camera use, daytime vs nighttime amounts 👍
Thank you!🙌🙏
Thanks for watching 👍
Great video.
Thanks for watching my review! I appreciate it 👍
Looks like a pretty good security camera.
It has been going great. I’m playing around using it as a cellular trail camera at the moment 😜
Thanks for watching my review. I appreciate it 👍
very help fully video

Great video
Thank you! I appreciate you taking the time to watch and comment 👍
Wow, Dave, you are a mind reader! I have spent a few hours recently researching and considering a purchase some Reolink cameras to mount on my land just as you have done. I've been looking at the PT version and will check out your video on that camera too. But I may just start with a couple of the basic Go cameras. Sure glad you shared this video with us!
One thing I have heard is that the speaker is too tiny to permit effective back and forth conversations where you talk to whomever might be at the camera. Seems it picks up sounds well but doesn't reproduce your sounds all that well. What's your opinion about that.
Also, can you download the videos from the app to store them elsewhere, such as in your own cloud storage or on your own drives?
Have heard that the USB cable doesn't have a waterproof connection and that it is recommended to unplug the solar panel USB cable during rainy periods. Have you had any trouble with that?
My food plots get a lot of nightly traffic from deer and other critters. If you have a few dark, cloudy days followed by lots of nighttime videos, does your battery ever run down?
Last but not least, camera thieves are everywhere in Mississippi. If they find a camera in the woods, its very likely to get stolen. I'd like to possibly mount the camera inside my deer stands rather than on the exterior and perhaps just mount a waterproof lens cover over the opening the camera uses. I could put the solar panel on the roof where it would not be easy to get. Do you think that would be feasible?
Wait, one more question. I think the Reolink cameras lock you into using T-mobile. Any options to use a Sim card for some other carrier?
Awesome video!
Although I don’t use the speaker option often, it seems to work well for me. I recently got feedback from another user and he says when he had wild hogs come into his feeder he uses the speaker to bark at them and they run away! 😂 Here is a video I did testing the speaker option: ua-cam.com/video/2M509aXYGxY/v-deo.html
You can download the video via the app onto your phone or cloud storage.
I have had zero problems with moisture and the cameras or the panels (and connections). They have been out 24/7 summer and winter without issues.
The lithium battery should have no problems keeping after even with clouds for several days in a row. Like I said mine have been out for 3/4 of a year and the panels have always kept after (and some of my cams take mostly nighttime videos)
I mount my cams at 10 feet high (to help fight against theft) and they work well. I’m not sure how high your stand is? One thing to keep in mind, the higher you go the smaller the animals will look. The cameras do have a wide angle lens
@@HuntingFarmerOfficial Thanks for some great answers. I'll be mounting any of my cameras 10 foot or so off the ground too. Not worried about the smaller looking size of the animals. I will know a trophy rack if one appears! My biggest worry is human theft. Will likely do the painting camo trick you did in one of your other videos and do my best to conceal them.
I'm probably going to order a basic REO GO cam and try it for a while. If I like it, then I may buy several of the PT models.
If you have an affiliate link posted, I'll use it so you can get a bit of commission on my purchase!
My local Tractor Supply is where , today, l m shopping for my non internet land camera. Don't know why l didn't think of them before. Just tooo brain washed into our elecyronical advertistment system.
Really a great review! Thanks a lot. One question: Can you tilt & pan? Can you, through the app, remotely change the direction the camera is aiming at? Thank you
No you can not remotely move this model. You can on the Reolink GO PT 👍
ua-cam.com/video/KmmmS9MkzBk/v-deo.html
Great demo..thank you!
What is the distance that this camera will pickup movement? Say something was 300' away and did not come closer? Would that be picked up?
If you needed to install two cameras how would that work?
Thanks for watching. The sensor will not pick up movement at 300’. They are advertised at 30 o 33’ I believe but I’ve found them to do better that that…probably 50’ or so. If you run multiple cameras you will need a SIM card for each cam but you can view multiple cams at the same time on the app 👍
Great review Sir, I am definitely getting one asap and I will use your link. Also awesome wildlife, what state are you in if you don't mind me asking?
Thanks for watching and I appreciate you using my link. I live in PA 👍
I’ve been wanting those LTE cameras for years but it’s young. There are not many out there. Or they need installation with screws or to them big and noticeable. Some just don’t work with batteries. Looking for small and fast installation like magnets wise or plugging direct in sector like the one on wifi. Oh and so much for the camouflage. Withe stand.
I just enjoy your reviews! I will check them out to see if they have a version for Verizon! Thats what works at my deer stand the best. Here at home is different. I hope you include some footage from this or make a video for Thursday Trail cam days!!!! Love it!
I just checked and this won't work on Verizon. I emailed the company and asked to be notified when they get software for Verizon!!!! My order is in once it becomes available!!
I already been thinking of places to place this for some “trail cam” shots! Hopefully they’ll make a Verizon version soon. Thanks for watching! It’s appreciated! 👍
@@HuntingFarmerOfficial You bet! Your channel puts out great content!
Did Verizon ever update for this cam?
Hi there! This looks like exactly what I'm looking for, however! I've seen some of their other cameras that utilize wifi offering "starlight" night vision. Is there an updated version of this camera with that starlight night vision feature??
The Reolink Go does have the Starlight CMOS sensor. If you go through the link in the description of my video it does list the Starlight 👍
Nice, I have been researching which cameras would be best for remote areas I need to monitor.
Thanks for watching! I appreciate it 👍
hey there. great vid, some questions:
1. this system will work when you do not have good cell service? I might be able to get line of sight to the sky for satellite but I just want to make sure it can still transmit to my phone if I am anywhere from 6 to 650 miles from the camera(s)?
2. if you have multiple cameras set up can you scan through them?
3. since making the video, have you noticed any cons?
4. when you son rode past, you were pretty close to the camera, if you were farther away, would it take longer to notify you of the motion?
I think that's it, thanks!!
Sorry for the late reply. I lost this in the shuffle somehow!
1) The camera must have cell service to work. I will say the camera gets better reception on average compared to my phone.
2)You can indeed link numerous cameras and scan through them on the app or view 4 feeds at a time with the multi-viewer on the app!! (This includes matching other models such as the Reolink Go PT)
3)I didn't come up with other cons. I have since did a video on the Reolink Go PT which I like even better because you can pan and tilt (everything else about the two cameras work virtually identical)!
4) I have found the notifications are nearly instant whether you're close like with my son, or 1000 miles away (I tested when I was on a trip). It's amazing!!!
To clarify from the question. The camera is not communicating directly to the phone. Think of it as Internet video chat.
2nd or 3rd video I've watched of yours now on the reo link. Commenting from British Columbia here again 🙂. You can use this without the solar right ? And just recharge batteries once in a while if you wanted? Thanks in advance- Brian
No you don’t have to have the solar panel. The Reolink GO has a removable battery that can be recharged separately. The Reolink GO PT has a built in battery. You can still recharge the battery without the panel you just have to recharge the whole camera. (Hope that makes sense) 👍
Awesome, thanks Hunting Farmer !
Thanks fkr sharing. I have few questions before i buy couples to manage wildlife preservation land.
1) How much monthly charge for data service?
2) After5 months of use, do you still like it? Can you share pro and con?
I use FreedomPop (which is a generic type carrier). I get 1GB a month for about $5 per month. I still love the cam and have got a few more since then (I also have a video on the Reolink GO PT on my channel). The cams have been outside 24/7 since the day I got them and work perfectly! I have absolutely no other cons that I have discovered 👍
Nice job, question I have is...Can you link 2 cameras together or on one cell account??? And have different angles of what your watching.
Thanks for watching! Yes you can link up to 4 cameras together and watch all 4 views at once via the app’s multi-cam viewer 👍
You've got the most wonderful accent! So, from watching your video I've decided to purchase the rotating Reolink with solar panel. £230. Blessings. Jim from UK.
Thanks for the compliment. I didn’t even know I had an accent 😁 I appreciate you watching my video 👍
@@HuntingFarmerOfficial I think everyone has an accent. We just don’t recognize our own accents because we hear it so much.
Thanks for the review! I am in Canada Ontario, I was wondering if it works with the cell phone carrier Rogers here. Thank you!
Thanks for watching. Here is a list of compatible carriers for different countries and it looks like Rodgers is on the list for Canada! 👍
m.reolink.com/product/reolink-go/?jumpId=product-carrier-table#specifications
Thanks
Thanks for watching 👍
Good sharing
Thank you! 👍
Great video, about how long and how far back will you be able to look at a video? Thanks.
Thanks for watching! I’m not sure what you are asking? You can view the video via the app from anywhere. You can be thousands of miles from the camera and still view the videos 👍
@@HuntingFarmerOfficial I think what Jules is asking is how much history can you access through the app? For example, my wifi camera allows me to access up to one week of motion-triggered videos, but more if I subscribe. It also allows for an optional micro-SD card that loop-records 1080p 24/7, re-recording over the oldest video when it fills up (32GB holds over a week of uninterrupted video). So with the Reolink, how far back (days, weeks, years) can you access videos? And which videos? Are only motion-triggered pics and videos on Reolink servers? Can you access videos from the micro-SD card through the app, or do you have to pull the card and put it into a computer to access them? If you can access all the videos on the micro-SD, is there an option to down-convert the ones you choose in order to save data?

have you tried another antenna, like a wired antenna, something you can toss up higher. My camera is cutting out ,off and on. Thanks
That is so cool what’s the range of distance it will pick up ??? Also can you use an iPad with this ???
I believe the detection range is listed as 33’ but I’ve found it better than that. I made another video on the GO PT camera where I discuss the cameras range in more detail. You can use the IPad to download the free Reolink app which operates the camera 👍
quick question can the camera cover long range? Planning to setup some camera about 10 acre maybe about 3 cameras or 4 being having people come in and still the trees in my land. or do you have advice on a long range camera?
The sensor and night IR will probably only cover 100-150 feet. Obviously during the day you’ll be able to see much further. You’re best to try to place the cameras at access points where you think the perpetrators are entering your property.
Did you purchase the SIM card separately from Amazon, if so how much?
When activating the SIM card how much is the monthly data plan, and is it auto renewal?
What cell phone towers service your area, the cameras say they work with T-Mobile but if there’s not T-Mobile service will it piggyback from another carriers (AT&T) tower?
I believe this could replace all trail cameras if they worked with multiple phone companies towers
I did purchase the sim separately. I got the 1GB per month for 12 months and paid around $45 total. Cheapest plan I’ve seen. There is no contact and there is no auto renewal (I didn’t have to give a credit card to activate). No sure what happens if it tries to go over 1GB in a months time...hasn’t happened yet. I’m assuming it’ll just quit working until the nexts months cycle begins?? We do use ATT in our area but is mediocre at best. I went with the Freedompop for that exact reason...it’s supposed to use many different towers (whoever has the best signal) and so far it has worked great. The app shows I have 3 to 4 bars of 4G available at the camera location 👍
HuntingFarmer wow, that’s great!
most amazing
Thanks for watching 👍
How effective has the solar panel been at charging the battery? Specifically, with the solar panel, is this a camera which is pretty much "set it and forget it" or is there some need to charge batteries from time to time?
The solar panel has 100% kept up with having full charge in the battery. I have several of these cams out (one in a very wooded setting) and I have never once had to charge any of the batteries. From a charging stand point it is set it and forget it 👍
@@HuntingFarmerOfficial This is a very important issue. Thank you for being clear on this issue
When you activated your sim card do you have to sign up for a month by month plan with T-Mobile? Or did you just buy a prepaid sim card? I guess my overall question is what happens when the data Runs Out? Do you have to physically replace the SIM card or will you add more data and at what cost?
I used the prepaid FreedomPop SIM card and have the 12 month data plan. I did not give a credit card, I simply activated my prepaid card and put it in the camera. If you wanted to go with the month by month plan and have it auto renew I’m certain that would work also. I think it comes down to personal preference, the camera doesn’t care either way so long as there’s data available 😜
Thanks for watching my review. I appreciate it 👍
@@HuntingFarmerOfficial In order to activate your freedompop sim card did you have to insert it into your android/iphone and set up the APN setting through your phone? Then remove it from your phone and put it in camera?
@@HuntingFarmerOfficial I got the same 12 month freedom pop card you did but I am getting stuck in the process after activating the sim card and now how do I configure it since the reolink is not an android or iphone? Please help me out brother!
I did not put my Freedompop sim into any phone. I activated it online and got a phone number for the sim. I then simply put that activated sim into the Reolink Go camera and put in the battery. Have you put the sim into the Reolink. You will get an auditable message saying “network connection succeeded”
@@user-dy2xu3uv8k I’m having the same issue, I activated the SIM card online but the camera keeps saying I have to import the APN settings, I’ve tried and tried calling freedom pop and they said they couldn’t help that I would have to contact Reolink, well there is no number for reolink so I had to email them and haven’t heard anything back
Hello great video is there an updated version of this camera that works the same way or is this still the newest on the market in this brand. Any help appreciated thank you
Thanks for watching. They have released a GO Plus model. It has a few upgraded features but it very similar to the original GO
ua-cam.com/video/4Fj8H9SyTw4/v-deo.html
@@HuntingFarmerOfficial thank you so much
Great review, can you please tell me what approximate detection range in feet this unit has in detecting movement?
It’s tough to say the exact footage but I would estimate 60-90’ is the max range. You can adjust the sensitivity which can help in detecting the slightest of movement but you have to be aware of the cameras surroundings as to not pick up a bunch of false triggers because of moving vegetation etc. The great part is you can adjust the sensitivity at anytime from your phone from wherever you are (you could be 1000 miles away from the camera) 👍
@@HuntingFarmerOfficial Thank you!
Now I’m interested , great video. I just got my battery to my camper stolen for second time. I is a Scamp 13 foot trailer that is parked in front of my garage so I can put the camera facing from garage . I do have electric that I could hook up if it easy or I can use the panel. I will get activation when people walk by and maybe when a car goes by unless. I can somehow lower sensitivity . What do u recommend I buy? Which model ? Will my battery get to full If cars go by every 5 mins or do you think I can somehow narrow the sensor to just my camper . The neigbor has a camera facing the street I can ask but u seem like u know what your doing . Thanks
Both models work similarly (Go and the Go PT). Obviously the PT can be remotely turned both side to side and up and down. If you are close enough to wifi, I would strongly consider using Reolink’s WiFi option instead of the 3G/4G cameras. Then you won’t have a monthly fee. The passing traffic will have the opportunity to set off the camera which in turn will use more data.
@@HuntingFarmerOfficial I have a tenant that might allow me to use there WiFi. Will I still be able to keep it secure for just me me meaning if they have WiFi password will they be able to access system or do I have a password for system. If u don’t know don’t know don’t worry in can call company . Thanks so much !
The audio is great
Thanks for watching! 👍
@@HuntingFarmerOfficial your welcome
@@HuntingFarmerOfficial great video how much does that cost ?
Can you put a link to which Freedompop sim card you ordered, isn't there different sizes?. You mentioned in the video that the camera company says you must use T-mobile but freedompop uses At&t and Sprint ...so I'm a little confused by that. Also, do they sell a multiple camera system that is powered by solar and uses 4g data? Does the app handle multiple cameras if I was to buy say 2 or 3 of them?
Sorry for he delay. The app can combine up to 4 cameras. It has a split screen option which allows you to view all 4 cams at one time. I use FreedomPop in all my Reolink Go cams and it works well. 👍
Just discovered the Reolink Argus PT with swivel and zoom camera. It's $159.00 w/ Solar Package.
I'm guessing the price reflects the construction & solar panel. The panel does look different. And the camera mount is plastic on the Argus.
The difference is the Argus is a WiFi model and must be used in conjunction with your WiFi router. The GO PT is a cellular cam and can be used anywhere there is cell service. The Argus is meant to be used right next to your house because is must operate off your existing WiFi network (if that makes sense)
@@HuntingFarmerOfficial
Thanks. Researching these reviews is the best way to learn what's best before you buy.
I got one. It works great. Be aware that if you get a t-mobile 2GB Sim card and set it in an area where it will be roaming, you will only get 200MB of data per month. Great camera though.
Thanks for watching and for sharing your experience 👍
That’s a nice idea.. but happens if you have no cell service in the woods you are wanting to put the camera at .will it still work ?
Thanks for watching! The cameras needs to have cell reception (just like a cell phone) to operate. You can choose from different cellular carriers (hopefully one will have reception in the area you want to place it). There are a list of compatible carriers on Reolink’s website 👍
When motion activated does it automatically record and save? Want to use it in the hallway of a rental property.
Yes, when the camera detects motion is begins recording and saves the file to the micro SD card inside the camera. It also sends you a notification on your phone. You can view the recorded files on your phone via the app 👍
Do you still use this camera? I have a steel quonset barn that has wifi issues so this would be great. If I set up the solar on the sunny side of the building, it gets quite hot. I would have to run the camera wire through the metal wall. Any issues with battery overheating etc? Thanks
I don’t think you’d have any trouble with overheating. I have had my camera outdoors 24/7 since this review and it’s handle both hot summers and cold winters.
Can this be used with any cell service? Thanks for sharing...
Thanks for watching. While I only use FreedomPop (a bit of a generic carrier) I know others can also be used. I’m not positive on how many different carriers will or will not work. I’m hoping to experiment in the near future with various carriers and post a video of my results. Hopefully it’ll help someone out 👍
Hi! How long does the battery last with and without the solar panel please ? And when there’s no more battery, does the solar power turns it back ON automatically?
I have found the camera can last at least a month without any charge (it will depend on how many videos it records over that time). I doubt the camera would restart itself but it does have a battery level indicator and low battery warning on the app 👍
You going to do a video on the new camo Keen camera coming out this month?
I plan to do a video 😁👍
Can you view this from your desktop or laptop instead of cell phone? How long does the battery last for? thanks
Thanks for watching! I haven’t tried using a laptop or desktop. You would need to be able to download the Reolink app onto the device in order to access the camera. Not sure if the app is compatible with those devices or not?? The battery stays charged if you have the solar panel attached. Mine stays about 90% charge at all times. If you didn’t have the solar panel attached, it would depend on how many videos the camera took, but it would last for quite a while. 👍
Can this camera be set to take photos only? Or is it a strictly live feed video 24/7? Thank you!
Thanks for watching. The only way the camera takes pictures is if you manually snap a photo via the app. All other movement is captured in video. The camera does not record 24/7. It only takes a video when the smart sensor sees movement. You also have the option to watch the live feed (beware that uses data) but as soon as you quit watching the camera goes back to standby mode waiting for movement. Hope this helps. 👍
Thank you ,you just sold me on this camera anything to add 2 years later?
I had a quick question can it record all night or does it just do parts ? So like let’s say if I install this camera in one of our construction properties & it catches someone stealing material will it notify me that someone was there?
The camera only records video when it detects motion (day or night). When it detects motion it immediately starts to record and sends you an instant notification to inform you of the activity. You can also view a live feed of what the camera is seeing 24/7 (even if the camera isn’t recording) with the use of the app. Through the app you can also view any previously recorded videos that the camera has recorded over the past months. In my opinion this camera would work perfectly for a security camera for a job site as you described 👍
This question is from the UK. We are building a house. Obviously being security minded could we actually use this camera and be able to view it from say 6/7 kilometres away?as there is no WiFi connection we are thinking this could be the answer. Thankyou for your efforts
This would work perfectly in the situation you described! Couple of things to keep in mind: you’ll need to have cell service for the camera to operate (and choose data from a carrier that has the signal there). Also when there is activity during the construction the camera is going to take video every time it sees motion (you’ll be able to turn the sensor off during work hours to save on battery and data). My solar charger had no trouble keeping up so long as it’s not constantly seeing motion 👍
@@HuntingFarmerOfficial A million thanks this is great news and I’ve learnt something new as well. Your in detail. Reply is very much appreciated. All the best from northwest England. Cheers
So say that cell phone bars go to zero.. (you cant get a signal from a cell tower) but you did set up the camera to your cell prior to losing the signal. can you view the camera off the grid??? Thanks, good clip
Unfortunately you cannot view the camera when there is zero signal
@@HuntingFarmerOfficial so there isnt anything you could do with and old operating cell phone and your home WiFi system that also doesnt get internet but is on... Thanks for sticking with me. Im a home prepper with silly questions ready to go solar if the need is there..
Great video. How far can this detect motion?
Thanks for watching. They are advertised as 30 or 33’ if I remember correctly. I’ve found they are slightly better than that. Here is a video I did on the detection range:

how long is the cord for the solar ,,have to mount about 15-20' away.
I believe the cord is 15’ long
A question I have will that work more then one camera in the same cellphone if you need to put 2 or 3 cameras in different areas around your house ?
Thanks for watching! Yes, you can put multiple camera on the app (each camera will need its own SIM card for data) 👍
Question from 88 yr old great granny. Bought Ring, after going through routine / with non / hook ups/ because """ quote"" oops you caught us"""" B S. No towers near. Live rural, so sounds like your brand would serve me? TYIA. for any info.
I don’t have any experience with Ring but the Reolink 4G cams have been working great for me. They have held up to the weather for years now.
@@HuntingFarmerOfficial Thanks for your time / info. Seems like, after speaking with my trusty/ by phone call., local Tractor Supply, they have just exactly whats needed.
Review works! Cuz I bought a reolink go based on the reviews on UA-cam.
Thanks for watching and for your support/encouragement. 👍
@@HuntingFarmerOfficial hey do you know if the international 4g lte tmobile prepaid sim card would work?
have you tried another antenna, like a wired antenna, something you can toss up higher. My camera is cutting out ,off and on. Thanks
Thanks for watching. The Reolink GO does not have an external antenna that could be upgraded.
How much did it cost for the data plan?? I can't seem to find one for a reasonable price, every one I find wants 40$ + per month
I use the FreedomPop 1GB/month for 12 months prepaid card. They’re running about $65 for the whole year right now 👍
Do does your cell phone have to be a T-mobile cellphone?? And is there a monthly cost to keep the camera working ??
Thanks for watching. You can have any provider on your phone, that doesn’t matter. I recommend Eiotclub sim (link in description). I get the 2gb of data per month plan and it runs about $8-10 per month
how long can a battery charge last? Does it record continuously or only when the sensor is triggered?
It does not record continuously, only when there is movement in front of it. I’ve always ran the camera with the solar panel attached and have never charged the battery (the panel keeps after). I’m only guessing but imagine the battery would probably last a month or more without the panel. Thanks for watching 👍
Monthly fees for app? Data card? If you are already team mobile is there additional data fees if I have a unlimited plan on my phone?
You need to buy a SIM card and data from a compatible carrier. I use Eiotclub sims in all my Reolink’s (link in the description). It cost approximately $8 per cam per month
All i want is to record my pets nightly activity to make sure hes doing ok. Ideally id like to just insert a sim card hit a record button and then the next morning download the footage on ny laptop amd review it. Would i be better off getting a trail cam?
You’re definitely not going to want a cellular camera because of the data usage that it would consume. Trail cameras could record activity as the PIR is triggered by the pets but unfortunately there isn’t any trail camera that can record a continuous video all night
How many cameras can you have set up? I would need 8-9 for my property that doesn’t have internet access.
Thanks for watching. I’m not aware of any limit. I know for sure you can as many as you listed (because I have more than that and it works fine) 😁
You will need a separate SIM card for each camera.
