For anyone looking for other cheap paper to use for markers try the blick bristol pads or blick cardstock. I also use papersource cardstock which you can get for really cheap with coupons! I have been told the Neenah Cardstock is good, but I have yet to try it. I personally find the Xpress it blending card overprice for the amount and the quality you get.
I definitely need to try those out. I'm gonna add them to my list because it definitely is expensive paper. Especially when there are ones similar for less, then I'm all about that! Thanks for sharing! =)
@@Agent_Fishy there are several card maker tutorials on coloring stamped images with alcohol markers. I don't have any issues blending on the paper I use. I think as long as the cardstock paper weight is greater 90lb it should work well. Most untextured cardstock is definitely smooth enough.
I have an amazing great uncle. We go to his house every Sunday, and he pays us to do chores. I wanted to buy the Ohuhu markers, and I told him about them. I specifically asked him NOT to buy them, 'cause that's the way he is. The very next Sunday, we go to his house. I do chores, trying to earn enough to buy the markers. At the end of the day, Before we leave, he hands me a $20 bill along with the markers. So yeah, I got my markers free and a $20 bill.

This is a great video I just ordered the 120 pack of ohuhu markers they are coming tomorrow and I am so excited. My old cartoonist teacher used to recommend high quality printer cardstock for ink work. 1. It's smooth so it doesn't soak ink. 2. It's made for use with ink via printers for photos and written work etc so it will interact well and you can print on it. 3. It has a thickness to give you a nice product and reduce bleed through. It costs about 17£ for a ream of this good quality paper, I suggest going to a local print shop. It might save you considerable money Vs the copic paper?
i have to say, after hearing about the 'tip to tip' technique, it became very useful 😍. i mainly use it for some shading and little touch ups. also for paper, i found that bristol paper is decent for marker illustrations, but what are your thoughts on that? BTW, dat cat girl is super adorable!!! 😍

I know this is an old video but I have a tip for paper. If your there is a main color in your piece ( for example tan for skin ) use thick colored scrap paper for it. I have some that I started using and things blend well on it, I don’t have to use as many layers of color and you don’t have to come up with a background color. I brand I use is The Paper Studio.
Have you thought of putting a link in the description so that way people can get your drawings and play around with the color scheme with your drawings? I for one would really love that if you haven’t already and I love your videos❤️
