Thanks for sharing....I love seeing what other artists like to use...I just love art supplies....as a child I'd spend hours in the art shop wanting everything and able to afford so little! Haha! Your art is amazing and you inspire me to get back to doing art. Love your videos. Please keep them coming! 😊
I'm such a junkie for art supplies, this is a great video, thank you so much for sharing =) Btw could you make a video on how you transformed the bamboo mat for storing the brushes? That was such a cool idea! ( I have zero creativity when it comes to customize stuff ^^') XD
Oh, thank you, I'll have a look then (I've never seen a bamboo one, but then again I've never really looked ;P) =) art supplies stores are heaven...but not for my wallet ahah XD
Oh yes, I can relate so much haha :D Whenever I enter an art supplies store the logical part of my brain just shuts down and I just want to buy everything X)
Would you mind telling me the name of the Chinese brush you showed foe the galaxies?? It looks like it would make such an interesting texture!! Also, I love these types of videos 😍
Excellent video! I love using dip pens with all kinds of nibs, I have a lot of Bombay India inks that I use and of course gold and silver inks I have to find that waterproof ink for my lamy safaris and joy stub nibs
Yes I have a few that are great for drawing they are Nikko G nib Zebra G nib Mapping nib Crow quill nib The mapping nib is smal nib and produces a line that's just a bit finer than a pilot G-tec-C3 pen that's a 0.03 So for all those tiny cross hatching lines it's a great little nib You can also check Google for drawing nibs or manga comic nibs I hopes this helps you! 🌹 Heather
Thank you so much for making this video. What are the names of the bottles you store the inks and water in, and where did you get them? I love the idea of putting the magnet on the bottom of the bottle so it attaches to your watercolor set.
Thank you so much!! :) They are made by "nalgene", you can find them in hiking/outdoor sports stores, because they are made for hiking/backpacking. They sell many different sizes and I absolutely love them because they close so well and secure :)
I love your videos! Where can i find Rico Design brushes in states? Or are there any other brushes comparable to that brand that i can use? I am a beginner with watercolours!
KoDrone Thank you so much!! I love that you want to start painting! The brushes I showed are nice quality synthetic watercolor brushes. I know that Blick Art supplies in the states carries Winsor & Newton Cotman watercolor brushes, these are similar (though a little more expensive) than the ones I showed and I am sure they would be a great starting point :) My tip would be to get a medium size like a size 5 and a smaller one like a size 2 and start from there
I really like your art style :) are you german? I just wonder bc you pronounce Farber Castell german and i wasn't sure if i can write in german :'D I never thought of using Lamy for sketching and drawing. Its a really cool idea and i think i should try it too! Thank you for sharing your supplies. Now i have new ideas.
Hi!
I tried a few water tank brushes but I have to admit that I didn't get along with them so well, because I couldn't control the water flow enough and my paintings always ended up looking pretty washed out... Which water tank brushes would you recommend? And do you have any tips on how to use them?

At around 6:16 you mention a water-proof ink that I wasn't able to get the name of. If you can, could you please write out the name for me. Also, just fyi, re: 'non-refillable' markers... there probably are some videos out there on how to refill your brand of markers. They can save you alot of money.
Thank you so much for the tip, I will try and find instructions to refill the markers, that's a wonderful idea! :) The ink is DeAtramentis - get the document black, which is waterproof, not the regular black ink (which is not) :)
Nein leider nicht (zumindest im Moment nicht), ich bin eigentlich Psychologin und arbeite an der Uni, das Malen und Zeichnen habe ich als Hobby vor einer Weile für mich entdeckt :)
palestblue I love you so freaking much. You are one of my favorites youtubers (at the art community) I love the way you keep doing what you want and keep pushing yourself to achieve more than you can. Thank you for that I'm literally dying 😂. Btw you are soooooo talented but you already now that
Christian Calma It is a kraftpaper sketchbook made by Hahnemuehle. I think this is not sold everywhere but there are similar sketchbooks made by different brands :)
I am not an expert, I hope someone else has some good tips for you :) I personally think that style develops as a combination of your skills (what you are able to do) and the things you like (styles of others that you like) :).
