When BCU opens up on "in my bed" , that right there alone shuts up all the ignorant band head UA-cam and stand battle only comments .... like ain't no stand band which is damn near everyone else can produce that kind of sound and balance standing still... that's why Cookman doesn't really give a damn about stand battle shit or " new unmusical tunes"... if it doesn't have enough music in it they aren't going to play it.... they aren't going to make up a bunch of "cranking parts" that aren't in the music just to crank over another band.....
Dalion Keyng BCU doesn’t run anywhere lol for one , they aren’t in the swac so how exactly are they supposed to play against swac bands , lol two, if you are referring to any of the classics that BCU has played against any other swac bands, BCU did what they always do. They aren’t going to try to 1 up against a another program that doesn’t share the same or similar marching band perspective that Cookman has . Just as the swac band isn’t going to over do anything on the field , to try to get a 1 up on Cookman lol there is no point of arguing this when we are talking about two totally different styles of bands , two different thought processes of the perspective band directors etc.. lol it is what it is . Lol I will agree and say Cookman should continue to search for and play more updated music in the stands . But don’t expect them to switch up their music format on any song to please the “ crank crowd” lol BCU will always stand firm on their style . Lol just as any other swac band will do the same lol . Admire the styles for what they are , leave it be lol
I love this band every time I see them. They dance a little too but their sound is always on pitch, clear, soul stirring and in tune. This band is very fluid. They move and play together. Even in this show where the band was only together for 11 days! They were still better than most at this early stage. At each of the games I have been to they are always approachable and humble. That is so rare in bands these days. Keep up the good work guys!
sound quality wise, BCU and FAMU are the cleanest and dynamically aware hornlines ive heard from the HBCU world...I would put JSU 3rd and SU 4th.... great job
This is still my favorite band...still sound good, still have precision but they don't dance like they use to back in the 90's and early 00's. I think if the dance committee saw some of that old footage they would see how creative the dance routines use to be. Still good show to me though... ;)

Nice show BC. The drill was on point, and they sound awesome! I wish the dancers weren't allowed to dance with the band. They have their own time to shine, so let the band shine as well during their dance routine. Plus it just doesn't seem lady like for the dancers to be doing some of those moves the band doing. BC DM's not to be played with! I love their black DM uniforms better than the white ones here. The black uniforms cold AF!
This band may have escaped Southern, but come Labor Day Weekend 2016, there will be ANOTHER SWAC band waiting for them in Daytona. And after the breakout season they had last year, I won't be surprised if the Alcorn State University Sounds of Dy-No-Mite skin the Marching Pride of BCU ALIVE at this year's MEAC-SWAC Challenge!!!!

But I guess...the dancers needed a lot more work...but the band sound really good nice full sound...however the S.O.D. and Golden Girls will be in Daytona Beach this weekend and if this is your best...both the football team and band taking (L)s....lol Labor Day Weekend

I agree, BCU has nice sound quality and so does SU (my favorite band). They have two different ways of putting that quality out.
I have to agree with you on that one. That sound quality was insane. I don't care much about MEAC bands, but you can't hate on BCU sound.

Thomas Perkins Stand battles are very entertaining and BCU runs from 5th quarter bands. Especially ones from the swac

Their sound is great and usually put on an excellent show. There entire show seems to be always in the box though. Nothing extraordinary.
