Would have been nice to show how to install the dash mount. We just received one that my wife picked out for her 2010 Toyota Corolla.
The directions, that are supplied, don't indicate the orientation of the dashboard pad. You will note that it has a tab on one side. The directions also mention it to be a one use pad meaning you don't get a second chance if you position that tab in the wrong direction.
The directions also cautions that it is not recommended for a variety of materials such as soft fabrics, leather, wood, curved, plush fabrics. But they don't reference this to be related to the pad.
A no brainer that the suction cup won't adhere to the surfaces mentioned.
