I get jealous when I hear people talk about their families. My family definitely suffered from “Big Mama Syndrome” after my grandmother died. The thing people are missing with the drop in sales numbers is the change in consumer behavior. This is usually a 3 hour podcast every hour spent listening to this is an hour lost streaming these projects. Multiply that by the time taken by other podcasts, shows, audiobooks. Content consumption has become more competitive and time that would’ve been spent playing these records is being spent consuming other content.
nah bro... u have to put podcast and anythiung visual in the same category as tv. we always had tv and even tv was much better back in the days... its just the substance.. u hear one song u heard em all. everything sounds the same. nothing stands out... nothing even sounds regionally distinctive, westcoast and new york artist sound liek they from florida now n days. music is just wack and these artist are absolute trash and even their rap names suck
@@EM-cj7tu I see what you’re saying but the only reason I wouldn’t qualify these visual things in the same way as tv is because of how they’re consumed. These podcasts are usually consumed on phones and in the background while people are doing other things (working, driving, cleaning). These are also situations where people would be playing music instead. When an album comes out it gets 1-4 listens before people are onto the next piece of content and it’s competing with content that is new either every week or multiple times a week. It’s just being pushed out of the way in the competition for peoples attention.

The way he tells the story I laughed so hard, my supervisor came into my office to ask what was so funny. I had to play it again, and we both laughed at it.
