9:09 so griffin and justin just completely didn’t listen to the first part of travis’s proposal where he said “we need to create this resource that allows conversations to go like this.”
"Nobody knows how to pick a fucking lock"...I'm literally sitting here right now, listening to this, picking a lock. Not even kidding, you don't know how hard I'm laughing right now.
as a young dude that has almost exclusively worked jobs where i make things, i have an incredibly hard time explaining what my jobs have been and i think about this segment a lot

Living should be a human right: Imagine a King pointed a sword at your neck and told you that if you didn't dance for 8 hours every day, then you would inevitably die. How would you react?
Aidan O'Sullivan But it's everyone else's right not to pay your way. Your metaphor doesn't work as it's less like a king ordering executions if you don't dance but rather a king informing you that if you don't grow or earn food, you'll starve.
I like the comparison of society as a whole being a bloodthirsty king instead of a group of people who don't want to support Robbie getting high all and eating pringles all day instead of producing goods or services for the common good
@@jacksmith3148 no one's saying no one should work. No one should have to waste their life away working multiple soul-crushing, body-destroying jobs to get barely enough money to survive. Everyone should be given what they need to live, that should be obvious. The government should give everyone healthcare, education, utilities (water, electricity, internet, etc.) basic housing, and basic food. They don't need to give everyone a free life of luxury, but they shouldn't let people die or live in misery just because they're poor.
We, as a society, have the means to help the people who need it most. We can support them financially when they cannot do it on their own. What does it say about you that you are unwilling to do so, even when it's so easy? Are you truly so selfish that you can't stand your tax dollars *helping other people*?
@@harmonlanager2670 i disagree. So long as you exist within society, you benefit from society, right? The reason we aren't in the woods fighting off wolves with pointy sticks right now is because we all collectively decided to band together and look out for one another. this is a TRADE. you TRADE your individual freedom to not give a fuck about other people when you accept the benefits of being a member of society. it's no different than, say, union dues.
I can do a lot of these jobs. I've laid hundreds of miles of pipe. I think about starting a volg constantly. I just want to live in a world where I don't have to wear pants
The thing about the coffee, I think everyone does from time to time, because early in the morning you're tired and not awake yet, it's easy to forget things. I almost never misplace things or forget things and I would forget or misplace my coffee every once in a while. I solved this by buying a Zojirushi thermos, that is bright blue so I can easily see it. Having a dedicated item to put coffee into makes it a daily item I'm less likely to lose. Keys, wallet, phone, thermos.
What's your story? I ran away the day I was born. Then I took care of the garden until the Old Man died. Then I was framed for a crime and spent 30 years in the Chateau D'Ilf until I escaped. Then I hitchhiked a ride off the planet on a Vogon constructor fleet.
This is...kinda legit lol. I'm finishing my master's in creative writing at the end of this year and while I'll still fistfight people who get snide and pretend like the arts have no use, I do actually wanna learn a trade. We really will always need plumbers and electricians and other tradespeople who know how to do the kind of things most people don't do themselves.

this is one of my least favorite clips out of the whole Mbmbam run and so every single time I let youtube just run it comes up. every. single. fucking. time.
Always been a fan of the brothers three but I wish they had more so I searching for one of those podcasts where people just talk and joke around yanno to waste some time and I found this through twitter and got to be honest weird but it is something anchor.fm/please-pay-our-rent
So, my brother created a new podcast series that falls under Film Arch Entertainment content, and it was heavily inspired by you gentlemen. I think Evan would make my little brother's entire year if you engaged on the "Other Brothers" episode 1 video posted on our channel. I personally believe you guys might actually even enjoy some of the content we have posted. We also have more on the way.
I was legitimately looking through the comments to see if anyone else noticed that. Yeah, his whole thing about ‘if you want healthcare, go learn a trade then buy it yourself’ made me feel very disappointed.
@@mallorymcdaniel5114 To be completely fair this is from ep175, which was like....7 or 8 years ago at this point. So I'm guessing a lot's probably changed. That said, I didn't really take it as a sincere comment, the entire conversation has a joke-serious tone to it.
Yeah I was looking for some one else to point out that griffin kinda digged a medicare for all, but like idk, he did it in a way where I wasn't sure if I he thought it was bad or not??? Can't tell if he's being sincere or not.
I like how Griffin is the target of his own rant in this one

We're always going to need chairs
that moment when the comedy podcast stumbles ass backwards into marxist economic analysis

well this is awkward now that Paula Poundstone has a podcast on Maximum Fun
I came looking for this comment, thank you for not disappointing
It's okay, nobody listens to Paula Poundstone.
Not as awkward as the time Griffin called Jimmy Buffett "the shittiest musician ever"... twice.
CalmBlue That's a very cognitively-dissonant thing.

I've listened to this like 100 times and 100% thought griffin was saying micro tip
