Burning fuses can be a real pain to troubleshoot. But loose metal around the battery and then a burnt fuse, yeah thats your issue right there. Sweet bike!
I am thinking that was the issue.. caused by me haha but thank you!
The fuse did its job, it's a protection device! Tighten everything back up and ride it. Enjoy.
I just need to tighten my head on next time hahah what a crazy mistake..
You handled that so well! It's 100 percent down to the loose metal around the battery and all the bumps in the road!
Haha my big mistake.. should have definitely been more diligent to check haha
Did that metal plate holding the ecu touch the battery terminals? that might kill the fuse, idk
My first thought aswell
Exactly. Nothing is “broke again”. Dude forgot to bolt down his battery bracket. JFC.
Electric or capton tape ??
I'm pretty sure that's what happened.. with the evidence in front of me I can almost guarantee that's what happened.. and all because I didn't check the damn thing before riding haha I got too excited to get out!
That’s exactly what handled
The metal plates on top a battery are for some reason very absorbable to all type of shock therefore might kill/defuse true spark leading to all sorts of problems
You should put some focus on your thumbnails mate, the content is great, titles are fine. Thumbnails don’t catch my attention tho. Just a bit of advice you didn’t ask for hahah.
Good vid mate
Thank you for the advice! I definitely struggle with them, any thoughts on what attracts your eye?
I know that was a scary situation! I'm sure your mind went to worst case scenario. I know mine would of! Glad you figured it out fast!
It was horrifying.. like rolling down the road and BOOM nothing.. I have to give the credit to my buddy who decided to look at fuses first.. either way it was a panic attack hahah
the magnet for the kickstand, take off the sensor on the kickstand and tape a strong magnet to it and see if it starts, if the display doesn't turn on nvm.
That is as awesome diagnosis thought! I have never thought to do that.. Thank you!
I just moved the kickstand switch so i can run the bike with the kickstand down for like $5.
@@samjohnsonwatson5736 will that allow you to remove it as a whole?? Thinking for track days to remove it completely
@@LifeWellRidden you should be able to remove the whole kickstand assembly. just make sure you get a rare earth magnet and electrical tape the sensor to the magnet under the seat.
@@utopiaspaz Yessss this is awesome thank you!!
I had the same broken Fuse once on my cb1000r because the positive and negative poles of the battery got in touch.it was just one fuse. It was the first thing that popped in my mind when I saw the metallic thing under the seat.
I'm so glad someone else has experienced this!! Any prolonged issues??
Yo bro where did you get that ktm wall sculpture on top of your bed .. definitely want one send me a link
Thanks man! I got a custom one done by Petrol Vibes, it is freakin awesome and so detailed like well worth the price! I also got the Medium size but here is the link! - www.petrolvibes.com/collections/custom-design/products/you-custom-bike-silhouette-metal-wall-art?variant=42140040233159
Self inflicted breakdown
100% agree haha dude it was brutal to figure out how stupid I was..
Great looking bike! Just a question, do you also have false neutrals with quick shifter? And without?
Thank you! And I usually get them when quick shifting or if I'm super sloppy with he clutch. It seems hat the transmission likes a hard shift so you cant baby this thing haha
I used to have them alot unless i shifted really hard, I bought the factory pro shift kit from rottweiler performance and i haven't had a single fase neutral yet. Would totally recommend
@@horemustjugen6677 dude I didn’t realize they even had one available.. I’ll have to give it a shot!!
Nice trailer, can you send me the info please, thanks
I have several videos around the trailer on my channel! It's the USA Trailer Store Ace Folding Motorcycle Trailer - theusatrailerstore.com/ace-single-motorcycle-trailer/
Ive heard of a lotta issues with power commander
And I feel like i've had em.. I thought it would have been the same issue
@@LifeWellRidden I have a 2021 enduro with the ktm catalog slip on Akra which definitely still has some restriction...even with the fuel dongle it has its moments where it flames out...one day I'll get the intake with the pc6 because the bike doesn't have that grunt I thought it would and maybe that will fix it
@@plasticbmw that sounds like good ingredients to fix that grunt issue, I know it livened up mine a hell of a ton!
Never happened to me on my 690, but it did on my DRZ........
Not the DRZ!! It was my mistake to not fully check over the bike before the start of the season but damn it sucked..
I put a smaller antigravity battery in mine (more CCA and ah) and rearranged my computer for more room with my power commander. My plug on the ecm made mine do the same thing twice.
I expect that to be in the bike already. Man youre paying over 10-15 with mods for a bike like this. Just annoying
Oh I was looking at a battery upgrade, which one did you go with?? And the space around the battery is pretty damn cramped with a PC in there..
@LifeWellRidden the 801 model. It's more CCA and half the size. I had enough room to put my ecm down where the stock battery was then put the PC where the ecm was in the stock location.
@@heathcarr1105 yesss thank you!! I will definitely take a look and hopefully free up some space!
@LifeWellRidden I'd estimate the battery is half the size and doesn't give up any battery performance at all. I believe it's even 1ah more than the stock battery. It drops 3-5lbs as well.....I cat remember for sure. It's been a few months since I swapped mine. You won't be disappointed tho. One tip I'd say is to run a zip tie around the plugs and ecm. I did have one come unlatched one time.
Makes sense. 🤷🏻♂️ lol. Has to be that.
My stupid ass not checking everything hahaha
@@LifeWellRidden 😂
yes possible
Man, pick a color scheme.
Drinking pickle juice is just plain nasty
Haha oh how I do love it.. I'm crazy tho
Get used to it .
If he’s the one wrenching, sure. This gen 690 is reliable af.
I am not the best mechanic but this thing has been rock solid outside of my mistakes. If you had a plain stock version, it would probably be the most reliable bike!
Time to upgrade to the 698 Motoard 😂
Maybe.. Just saw that Clutch First got one.. May want to pick his brain and see what he thinks!
KTM sucks !!! So many problems!!!!
