This made me smile, I remember a ds explaining in words I wouldn’t repeat to my mother that there’s a tap washer in every issue so fit it stop dripping & make it work or he would with a size 9. Point taken😂 he added trust me just like yer mum the last thing y’want is a small one! So miss the squaddie dark humour lol😂😂
Very Interesting video. Nice to see that reproductions are available as - during the "Dark Ages" of the 1980s- re-enactors had to source postwar Denison smocks. FWIW-I'm 6'3" with a 42 inch chest and have tried wearing a 1st pattern June1943 size No 7 marked for up to 6'2 and 39 to 41 breast size. Smock sleeve length is long enough-and smock fit well even though I normally wear tall size civilian clothes. However, at the time, I did not have access to original kit in order to determine fit while wearing the complete web kit underneath.
Informative. Nice to see a Canadian smock at 10 min mark.

This explains so much. I have an original hand painted size 7 and it's huge on my 44", 6' frame.

Wow didn’t expect to see you here, love your Indonesian collection!
Flap is great for protection in snow storm 🙂
Even the 1959 pattern was generous! I should wear a size 3 or even a 6 but I can wear a size 1 comfortably!
Maybe inhouse gag by troops to see who could wear the most outrageous smock 😂
How can I get on the list ?
Generous cut austrian m65 army jackets are so for layering cold weather
