You probably mean the worst part of purchasing a "new" used vehicle.
    Kudos for using high-quality oils.
As of this year I started work as an "apprentice".... so it's interesting how I still find it interesting watching these types of videos.
I always grab either a power bar or a extending ½" ratchet and a hexagon socket when draining oils.
8/10 times it's tightened all the way. Afterwards we torque everything and I use a paint marker to show that it is done.
It was very weird for me when I had to torque sparkplugs for the first time.... 25NM btw
Sumps, diffs etc always 40NM ot 25NM if it's some crazy European car (usually says so on the sump)
Remember to flush your powersteering system. Very often something that is neglected.
I was taught a cool way to flush a cars cooling system fully.
I can type that as well....

I've used a few different brands of oil. Motul has just always worked best👌

    As a qualified diesel mech
    1. GuD filters a shit
    2. No need to fill the oilfilter but lube the rubber ring
3.oil viscosity is not as imported as oil type get a oil that is spesified for you engine or if it is a CJ get the more "modern" oil try and get a full synthetic oil also once you go synthetic dont go to a blend or mineral oil.
    4.replace you sump plug washer
5.dont be scared to change gearbox and diff oil just get the right grade
    6.buy good quality parts
7.clean you engine afterwards with a good degreaser that wont harm platics or rubber
8.when you do brakes use some copper slip to lube up the moving and sliding surfaces (not the pad or disc)

      What filter do you use?
At our workshop we use genuine oil filters for the diesels.
Gud filters, I have become suspicious of. Especially due to the weight difference when compared to genuine.

mechs in SA have gorillas grips, when I started servicing my own car I had to buy a oil filter wrench to remove mine and a breaker bar for the sump😄also out of curiosity, where do you dispose of your old engine oil?

I take my old oil to a recycling plant.

Nothing wrong with using a hacksaw blade (1mm) as a tool to gap your spark plugs especially on these old rubbish bins lol

Wow I was surprised with the fuel filter being in a single direction because whenever I replace mine, we have fuel filters that have a return pipe due to the fuel pump returning excess fuel from the carb
    Edit
After letting the video continue playing a bit more, I realized Ruan bought the wrong fuel filter 😆😆

      Fuel filters are directional yeah
Then again... Just about all filters are directional😅
