Last year, June or so 2022, 17 cats went missing from my ranch. I have a private rescue providing heated cat hotels, food, a lake, 7-stall stables, and medical care for 35 to 45 cats. We have bears and mountain lions, and deer too all wild. This is on the KY TN state line. One Morning, last August, my German Sheppard and I started our morning walk when a vomit-inducing stench crossed trail winds. It was a horrid smell of urine, dead rotting flesh, and poop. Myh dog started growling as we approached the end of our 29 ft camper in the driveway. Then he went nut, charging against his leash, barking, jumping 4-5 feet in the air, in front of us ...... then he pinned his shoulder to my knee and pulled me to the left, then back to center, then back to right, back to center, the whole time staring up at a 45-degree angle. My hair on my neck raised up and I pulled my 45 cal pistol for a possible shot from the hip (I practice hip shooting a lot). I notice with the barrel pointed out it was level to the ground, but when I pointed it to where the dog's nose was pointed and it was 8-9 ft above the ground. I have trained most of my life to remain calm during a crisis. Noting how high the muzzle was pointed, the stench, my dog's behavior, and my location I thought I may be looking at a Big Foot in a cloak invisible to humans but not to dogs. I began talking to it in a calm slow baritone command voice. I told him I was tired of him killing my cats. My cats were my kids, feeding them, housing them, giving them meds, and protecting them was my Job. If he didn't stop using them as "snacks" I would kill him. "I don't want to kill you but I will," I said. There are a lot more humans than there are of your type. How would you like to be hunted down? As I finished, my dog sat but continued to stare 9 ft off of the ground. Soon, the stench was gone and my dog relaxed. Over the next couple of months, I began to see rabbits, skunks, deer, coyotes,,,, and my cats stopped disappearing. I'm a retired airline pilot, former Special Forces soldier, and 10 year cop. I'm near Ft Campbell KY. I'm a believer.

Hey Nance and Nate. I've wrote in before. I have to say something. We were out that way around that time visiting a friend that lives out that way. It was towards the evening. We were headed back out to 23 and a deer bolted over the fence line lost its footing in front of our van but didn't pay any attention to us it was kicking at the front of our van trying to get up scared to death of something that seemed to be chasing it. But we didn't see anything at that time. It got up and kept running. But as of now where I live in portsmouth in the city. I have several deer coming into my backyard. The 20 years I've been at this house its never happened before. Like the deer. Mostly the mothers and babies come. It's a little woodsy behind my house. The bed down there. It's seems to me they feel safer here than in those hills. So I really believe you. Also the stray cats seem to follow the deer or come around when the deer are here. So I think the cats and deer stay close together. Thanks Nance and nate for the story.

A local towing business here had an impound lot behind their office and repair area. There were a lot of cats, kittens, and raccoons that lived in those damaged autos in the impound lot. Many of the men who worked there were feeding the cats; plus, there were the dumpsters behind the food store and a Chinese restaurant (where there was more free food). All of the cats, kittens, and raccoons disappeared in one single night. No one knew what had become of them. This towing business was in the center of downtown (not out in the country). Could it have been homeless people, Sasquatch, or were they turned into chicken on a stick at the Chinese restaurant? I still don't know; but, I never eat chicken on a stick from the Chinese restaurant.

It was a cool story, Nate, I've been keeping my eyes open to see one for 50yrs without luck& here in Florida they are as common as in Washington State. I believe our lives are mapped by our guiding spirits& us to grow spiritually& In so many encounters the victim prays to God even if they are atheists. Lol. In Louisiana, I took care of my mom in the last year of her life& this one area of farmland I felt they were there, but never did see one so that doesn't count in my book lol. TY Nance for taking me back to about the year 2000, when I would go to sleep listening to Delilah. Didn't even know she was still on the radio. You do sound like her& you're both beautiful. I believe the essence of ourselves is in multiple bodies at the same time& you just proved it. God Bless you& the Sasquad

Good evening Nance. Hope you all are well. And of course Hello Sassquad. This is for the last story. Mr Nate. If a Bigfoot wants you to see it you will. They are very selective of whom they interact with. That's how they stay hidden from people so well. You and your Mrs can count yourselves very lucky that you got to see one. Good night Everybody hope you all have a great weekend.

No judgement on the cat caretakers. I spent almost 15 yrs and mostly my own money. Feeding, spay/neuter, trapping vet bills, on cats dropped off, left to breed. In a big southern Ohio city with many shelters. They have discounts but wouldn't take in any cat, let alone for free. In our lower income counties, they are underfunded and overcrowded. Any kind soul who cares and helps them, God bless you! I get it!

I love stories of people ‘rescuing’ animals. I say that way because it feels like the opposite. My husband and I have 3 dogs and 2 cats and 6 fish - all which were rescued. The fish were abandoned when a neighbor moved, I still consider that a rescue.
I don’t mean rescued like we got them from a rescue organization, although we did used to be a foster home to a dog rescue and we have had a few foster children too. But as for the animals, my husband found 2 of the dogs -a few years apart- abandoned as puppies on construction job sites, the other dog found me, she showed up on my sisters ranch the day I arrived for Thanksgiving weekend. The cats, the same thing, 1 had been a barn cat where my other sister boarded her horse and was attacked by the barn owners dog. When she was found the barn owner told my sister to throw her behind the barn and let her die. Of course my sister could not do that, took her to the vet and I took her in. The other cat was abandoned when her owner moved and left her behind.
I grew up on a ranch, I have never Not had a pet. I live in the suburbs now and I swear there is a beacon over my house that lets animals know this is a safe place. At least once a year an animal shows up on our front porch and just hangs out until either my husband or I get home. If the dog ir cat has collar we call their human, if not we post photos and a message on the Nextdoor app and on Craigslist, we call all of the local pounds in the area and take them to our vet to check for chip and usually they are reunited with their human within a day. If not, they have a safe home for the rest of their lives. This has been going on for 15 years. Like I said, I swear there is an invisible beacon that attracts stray animals that says this is a safe place.
The animals we have ended up keeping have been the most loving pets. They know they are loved and they are so loving in return. Some were in bad condition when they showed up, we had to spend a lot of time and money to nurse them back to health but the love they have given us in return makes it all worthwhile. My husband is a big masculine man, he’s a construction worker, rides a motorcycle, you would think he was a tough guy yet he is the one that will come home with a dog in his truck that he saved from the highway or construction site or the side of a road. The animals know somehow that he is safe. They know his heart and trust him. I am so blessed to have him as my best friend and husband. Animals or children, God just somehow directs them to our home for a safe, loving place to get what they need at the time.

Lake Guntersville and the Guntersville dam has been my playground all my life. But, I haven't laid eyes on the ol' guy.

Great stories. Too bad the cats were probably taken by a Bigfoot or other predator. I hope that everyone has a safe and enjoyable holiday weekend for those of you here in the US. I'll be doing my regular "Memorial Day thing" of paying a visit to my local National military cemetery. Back in Ohio I would go out the grounds of the Dayton Veteran's Medical Center complex and National Cemetery. Down here in Florida I visit the Bushnell National Cemetery. I mostly drive through making stops along the way to go walk through the burial spots, honoring those who once served our nation. I'm a vet myself and I like to express my gratitude to my fellow vets for their service. I love the photo of Rock House down in The Hocking Hills region of SE Ohio. It's my favorite part of my home state other than where I come from.

Hi, there Mz. Nance, well, the Squatch may be the reason that the cats in your area may have dwindled at the same time that you noticed one of the big folk, I doubt that they were getting eaten, just due to the fact that if you've had cats and they get outside, it's darn near impossible to catch them if they didn't want to come into the house, yeh, they'll sooner or later show up at the door meowing to come in to get fed, but, it they don't want to be caught then you're not catching them, and I seriously doubt that a Squatch could catch many either if those cats stayed gone then they more than likely moved to another part of town!
Thanks, Nance for your (as always) great narration (phew, I think I've run out of ways to compliment you, my friend, lol) you and yours take care, be well, and stay safe, hugs, D.J. 🥰

Last yeah in early to mid July my wife and kids and I, my parents, and my brother and his wife and 3 kids went camping near a lake in northeastern Oregon. Our camp site was a mile from the lake and campsites right on the lake. The camp we were at was off the side of a gravel road. Covered with tons of pine trees and trails where people would camp and go exploring in the woods. My brother and I who are in our early 30s though it would be a good idea to try tree knocking. We would knock a couple times and hear knocks in return. This happened for several hours. It was creepy but I also thought to myself it is very possible that it could be campers up the road knocking in return to us. That camping trip went with not much excitement except the possible return knocks. So we pack up and go home. Several weeks go by and we go camping up there again. We tried to get the same camp site but someone had taken it. So we went about 1/4-1/2 a mile down the road and found another place. We had arrived late that night because I had to work and didn’t get off until 5 but my wife already had everything packed so when I got off work we headed straight there. By the time we got there and made our couple pit stops it was about 7:30 or 8 pm. We got our tent up and ate dinner. Everyone was hanging around the camp until around 10 and the kids got tired and went to bed. We continued talking around the campfire until eventually everyone made their way into their tents and went to bed. Something to note is me and my wife usually sleep with a fan on and it’s pretty loud. We had a small personal fan but it wasn’t loud at all. It was extremely quit in out tent. I was a little creeped out because the side of our tent entrance was the closest to the end of the tree line out of everyone else. I laid there for hours trying to fall asleep and my heart racing and it was extremely quiet out there. No sounds of any animals or nothing. Then out of no where I hear a single tree knock and I was extremely freaked out. I froze and kept listening but didn’t hear anything else. I laid there for what seemed like several hours and all of a sudden I hear a loud snap kind of sound. Then another, and another. I was super confused and didn’t understand what I was hearing. It sounded like it was right on the other side of the tent door where I was laying. I laid there freaked out trying to figure out what that sound was. Eventually I fell asleep. When I woke up the next morning I immediately thought of the sounds I heard and all of a sudden it made sense what I was hearing. I was hearing rocks smacking other rocks being thrown by my tent. When our dog exited the tent in the morning she was fixated on the rocks right outside the tent door. I don’t know if it was a Bigfoot or not but it absolutely terrified me. I’ve tried to rationalize it and tell myself it was some person out there messing with us. But then I think there is no way. We would have heard them walking through the trees and stepping on branches. Only way I was able to not freak out while that happened is because I knew I had my 10MM pistol with me and my AR15. That was our last camping trip of the year and we are planning on taking another trip up there this summer. I hope to maybe someday see a Bigfoot. If I do or have any kind of weird occurrences happen I will be sure to post here and let everyone know! Sorry for the long story. I know I didn’t actually see a Bigfoot but I do feel like he was out in those woods and messing with us that night.

Some Sasquatch follow migration patterns for food sources weather and family reunions. Some don't because they get along with kind humans that don't mind sharing. It all starts with gifting , plants extra gardens and free eggs and ever fish cookouts. Karma works for everyone

Nate, you might have more sightings yourself if you were able to leave the gun in the house once in awhile. Sasquatch don't like guns. 😉

I love the covered wagon rides through sasquatch valley with Ms. Nance a her fur babies, will the big lug ever learn you don't mess with a mule headed generational person who's lineage is full of such people he's got some nerve so I guess I'll have to keep up the lessons of how to humiliate him and his friends until their schooled by my mule headedness don't trifle with the descendants of mule head people that is a hurting waiting to happen and it's not pretty either by the way I'm laughing my bottom off because I got my pettiness threefold by setting up a huge trap and now I'm laughing it's hard to remove thick molasses and honey now with his thick hair all over covered in a elegant trap, Not even grandma's lye soap could break up the mixture now who's laughing now.

This is from me I mean from my heart, remember that the day of memory started way better were even born, these heroic men and women how gave the ultimate sacrifice for freedom and say a little thank you, and remember those didn't get to walk off a airplane or ship they came home in a draped coffin showing the loyalty that they gave us some are still buried over in other countries not ever coming back home to be placed in a national cemetery or even a family members cemetery they are buried with others who died along with them and I'm hoping that the people of those countries pay respect as well no matter what their beliefs were ☯️☦️✝️✡️☪️🕉️ they're still 🇺🇸 always say thank you for your service and also say another one to the veterans who made it back, and a prayer for those who didn't.😓😢
