I grew up with valve games and for me they are the best.
Im sorry i couldnt make a special video for half-life 25th anniversary. But i will make something special about it later.

GTA 6 will release in 2025, but still no Half-Life 3.
Half Life 3 is a thing in Valve Studio. However, it's so hyped to this day that they just can't make the game that won't dissapoint fans. They tried it multiple times but they aren't satisfied with results.
The last sentence was spoken by Gabe in an interview but I don't remember which one.
It was said in the Half-Life documentary for it's anniversary.
I would really like to make a video about half-life 3 and how valve works. As an developer and a valve fan for my whole life i get to work with various projects and some fan made games (usually indie stuff like scp and some unity stuff) which contained some known and wise people who got a chance to be involved in some busniess stuff. İ would really like to share those informations in a half-life 3 documentary but im quite busy these days. Maybe after my exams i can make a video about it. And im planning on showcasing my old game project which i stopped because lack of coding experience. Thanks for watching and leaving your thoughts. Your support matters

some people say that half life alyx is half life 3, and they may be right, but a chronological half life 3 is still to be desired.

Half-Life 3 died with how Valve handled Episode 2. Valve devs hate being restricted, they like to experiment and spread their wings, but they ended Episode 2 by going "okay, the next game has to go in this specific direction, and also this is connected to the Portal universe too now, so be careful with this other game's continuity as well" which didn't leave much room for the devs to do pretty much whatever the hell they wanted, so they got bored and moved onto other stuff.
Also by ending Episode 2 the way they did, they set up Episode 3 to be this big epic grand finale, when the original idea was for the episodes to be bite sized pieces of content so that the devs wouldn't burn themselves out, but they couldn't help themselves, which came back to bite them in the ass. It's practically a self-fulfilling prophecy that Episode 3/HL3 didn't happen.
Honestly, I think what he said here is misunderstood by a lot, so here's my interpretation: he says he's always looking to the next new thing but if he never payed tribute to the past half-life Alyx wouldn't exist, so I think he just means no remakes or cash grabs, he wants to make new things, great things.

That was Alyx. But Valve didn't want to call if Half Life 3 because they knew it's a polarizing piece of tech that not many people have access to or can medically use.

It's worth it, one of the best gaming experiences I've had.

pc+vr makes about a kidney worth or part of a liver to get.

If someone hasn't upgraded their computer since 2017, they can get 2nd hand computers at a pretty low price

I dont think so. But the pipeline of my room tells me the new half-life game will be coming after some REALLY! big releases from valve... Source... Source capture tech... Who knows. Better follow valve... Did i mention my rooms pipeline system leaks? We just have to wait... a long while... Maybe just after some months from source 2 uploads? Actually, a few months ago a Half-Life 3 page appeared on the metacritic. The fact that it's still up makes me hope that it's not fake and that valve is actually cooking something.
