Hi Karina , I have been up in Scotland last week staying at Dumfries House. On the way up from Newcastle upon Tyne where I live , I found that i was recognising caravans more closely than I ever did , and thats thanks to you and your Vlog.
Yes we did have a look at this model at the NEC, very expensive van as well as E&P levelling system being an optional extra. Keep up the reviews Karina.
Great review, thank you. We really like the Swift Elegance Grande range and one of these will be at the top of our list when we upgrade from our current Swift Challenger. It's amazing how the prices you quote here have now dropped in recent months, some by over £11k!
Thank you for watching Mark, yes, huge price drops to clear the 2024 stock before 2025 models are launched. It is a good time to buy right now and dealers are in huge competition with each other. 👍
Always love your reviews Karina - we’ve had a conqueror 645 for 5 years and love it - an Elegance 835 is the natural successor (or perhaps the challenger) but the prices for a cash buyer are very high! Might wait a year or two 😃
Thanks for watching Darren..yes, prices are very high, there is certainly room to haggle now though. I have filmed the Challenger Exclusive range too. Enjoy your day 😊
Absolutely love your presentation along with promoting swift and other manufactures. I've got to say you also need to include the MAJOR defects they hide from purchaser's and I mean major problems they hide, regards a very disappointed purchaser, of a well known manufacturer!
Re the water inlets ... the top one is for filling the onboard tank ... the bottom one for drawing the water direct from the aquaroll. The switch by the bed is likely to operate the powered heki over the bed.
Great reviews and gorgeous caravans. Love the L shaped lounge. We've just upgraded our old Lunar for a five year old Swift and absolutely love it. Just wonder if it's about time manufacturers ditched curtains in caravans. They are mould traps and who uses them anyway. The padded panels soften the windows and can easily be removed for winter storage.
Thank you for watching and enjoy your new Swift caravan. Maybe curtains could be an option.. I know some love them and some aren’t bothered with them, Enjoy your day 😊
Thank you for watching Sarah, Swift specify a “large” TV, which doesn’t exactly nail it down. That space is big so I would say you could go to a very good size. You would be best asking in a Swift owners group on Facebook as you would get the most honest answer there. Enjoy your weekend 😊
If they could find a way to get the tv to raise and lower when not used down into the cabinet below , that would be ideal. Then that window on the left side could be used to let in light or look out when not watching tv
Thank you for watching. Yes that is correct. There are two sliding privacy screens on the 850 due to it having that fixed central wall at the end of the bed.
I get the weight limitations . But I say most people who buy a top spec 8m twin axle have a substantial tow vehicle. So why no slide outs ? That East/West island rear bedroom would be so much better with a bedroom slide out. Look at the Ineos .. why dont more companies do it ?
I love the Ineos.. but I think the cost to manufacture slide outs is probably quite high, more chance of a mechanical failure and some pitches struggle to take the larger units. But, I do agree it is a shame there aren’t more slide out options. The American stuff is amazing. Thank you for watching 😊
@@HereWeTowThe Ineos is 7m .. nearly a meter shorter than my Swift Quattro. I know The FifthWheel Company import the slide mechs direct from the US . And there is a manual option if a slide fails. But as for size .. A slide is narrower than a pole or air awning & as such gives so much living space .. there is no real need for conventional awning . A pullout canopy awning would suffice for evenings etc. I really think that UK van makers are missing out on something not even giving slide outs any concideration. I agree there would be a premium on a slide out van .. but then we are looking at the upper echelon of caravans where people will pay that. 30/40k vans are out there now. In that range a slide out should be a standard.
I meant the width with the slideouts not the length 😊. The weight is an issue as finding a towcar with a high enough kerb weight to meet stipulations often given in insurance small print is also an issue. With a push on EV cars, manufacturers seem more focused on weight. Personally I agree with you, I would like to see something more innovative too. Adria did a motorhome with a slide out rear piece but they discontinued it.
Thank you for watching.. I have watched the video back and I am not sure where I say it is single axle. I am aware it is twin axle. If I do say single it is in error but I can’t find that part. 😊
Very poor that they haven’t provided a separate storage cupboard below in the bedroom that doesn’t go all the way through to the storage area for the side locker doors! £50k van and they missed simple things like this….. Swift who on this planet designed internal cupboards like this 🤷🏼♂️🤦♂️
I allways watch your reviews as your knowledge on Caravans is such a high leave. Unfortunately, this time with the Swift Elegance you was a little bit confused on what everything did in the caravan and how it worked and what it was for. Not your best reviews maybe should’ve done a wee bit of homework first. Sorry for this bad, you can do a lot better
Lovely vans..nice specification. I wonder if Swift will ever bring back the Sterling range..🤔
Great reviews 🙂
Thank you for watching.. 😊

Thanks for the review 👍
Thank you for watching 😊
i agree, the l shape lounge with the wash room and bed room of the 635......why don't they do they do the 860 like that....would make more sense

Thank you for watching and sorry to hear you have had a disappointing experience.
Great review. I pick up our brand new 850 Elegance on Friday. Don’t think I’ll be using the A/C for a while though
Thank you for watching and congratulations on your new caravan! I was really impressed with the interior of the new Elegance.. happy travels 😊👍
Re the water inlets ... the top one is for filling the onboard tank ... the bottom one for drawing the water direct from the aquaroll. The switch by the bed is likely to operate the powered heki over the bed.
Thank you for watching Iain, and thanks for that information 😊👍

Yes.. I have removed the curtains in my Quattro. It also makes it look a bit more spacious.
last question, do both 850 and 860 have self levelling, is this standard.
No, self levelling is an optional extra and not standard 😊
Not a bad finish on these, no real wow factor but the L shaped leather lounge is nice! Thanks for the review 👍
Thank you for watching 😊
What size TVs fit in the elegance grande 850 please?

Thanks for watching and that is a really good idea 👍
hi has the 850 ...got two doors in the bedroom.. and the 860 only got one door...

Did you notice the omnivent and midi heki in the bathrooms
Thank you for watching.. I may have at the time, it was a first look at them at the show.. 🤔
That glass, on the roof would have to go! Other than that it is beautiful!
Thank you for watching 😊
The 845 is a twin axle van not a single!

Ridiculous prices!!!
Thanks for watching 😊

Over priced and no where to sit at the front unless you sit up straight....the first caravan poor layout
Thank you for watching 😊
