Yes, I agree on the cymbals 100%. It's a big part of why I love her style so much. Her cymbal selection and placements are perfect with zero overkill Everything she does is like that too, it's definitely her style. She's one of my all time favs.
Junna is imho the best drummer right now... I know there are other drummers who's better technically... but her love and passion for music is outstanding... Show me one person

Junna left a 3 piece girls band called G.R.K to go solo.
After Junna's departure, G.R.K changed the name of the band to TRiDENT and brought in a new female drummer, who is just as skilled as Junna.
I believe that rock music has not declined in Japan even now, and that many women in particular have excellent playing skills.
I think the reason why there are so many female metal drummers is because many of them were influenced by Nao, the female drummer of MAXIMUM THE HORMONE.
She learned to play percussion in a brass band in junior high school, and honed her drumming skills with the advice of her father. Her father was a vocalist who sounded in heavy metal bands when he was young.
In 2016 she won a drum solo contest.
Her drummer influences include Cozy Powell
Nagisa is just as good as Junna, a better fit for the band (IMO), and much easier on a kit. Junna kills Nagisa in showmanship, she needs a stage where either she is the spotlight or every other person on stage is just as animated, high energy, and adorable as she is.

She has so much energy in this video. I've probably seen it 100 times because it's in my "Play If You're Depressed" playlist on YT. It's awesome it's such an old video but people are still being wowed by it.

Junna’s skill and style reminds me of Keith Moon.
I kind of like to believe the Energizer Bunny and a cute Japanese pixie had a daughter and she decided she wanted to play drums......I know exactly what you mean when you compare her to Keith Moon, amazing technical ability and precision hidden behind whirling drumsticks, and in her case, pigtails :) I also love her facial expressions as well, pure gold.
It never fails to put a smile on my face when I watch her play, not least because she seems to be having so much fun herself. Anyone who can play with that much skill and talent, and that kind of showmanship and stage presence is a joy to watch.
She just uploaded a Maiden track yesterday.
She is going on as a solo act anytime now and is already booked for some show(s). She has been advertising it on her inst and twitter.

Can we take a moment to marvel at how precise she plays. Just listen to the tones of each hit and how they have the same tone hit after hit. THAT is precision, not only must she hit the same spot on the drum head, she has to do it with the same power, and still keep time. I have the utmost respect for anyone that plays drums, it seems so difficult to me.
How the hell does anyone do separate times with each limb?!! My brain would simply lock down, trying to do that.
Junna is a phenomenal drummer that deserves way more recognition than she actually gets. I suppose her marketing skills are no match for her drumming skills.

Her background as I know, is she was a percussionist in a brass band. There is a fair amount of content on her channel, live and studio. All worth a check out.
She was 20 years old when she did this she started playing drums at the age of 15 before that she was a percussionist in a couple of brass bands and she plays guitar and a couple other instruments and she sings

The total joy she plays with is simply remarkable. We all should be as happy doing something in life as this young lady!!! She is now in a new Gothic band with Yashiro (Mary's Blood LIVE guitarist). Dragon Force's drummer call ed this the best cover ever!! She is one of a remarkable group of super drummers (Jazz, Rock, Metal, etc..) in Japan, where music is mandatory and so is learning an instrument. You uncover real talent early and many Japanese band form in their early teens (Asterism formed when Hal-Ca was 11, been together ever since). I will say one thing, I am thankful I am not part of her kit, it must be rehabbed after every set!!!! She is not just flash it is boundless energy and joy that overflows from her playing!!!

The another one is Haruna from Lovebites.
They both is insane and monsters on drum. But they so cute and tiny.
And they stamina? Yes junna and haruna have a lot stamina to playing drum like a gun machine.
I am 10 years older than her haha! She's such a beast and I absolutely love it! YES! The Lovebites drummer is also one I've noticed has incredible stamina and endurance! I couldn't agree more!

Senri Kawagucha at 24 years is widely considered the greatest Japanese drummer, with Kanade Sato, five years her junior, giving her a run for her money. Both mainly do fusion/funk/jazz drumming, so metal purists wouldn't consider them. This is a clip from them drumming together nine years ago when they were nobbut young kids.
