This Case is absolute heaven, for those who really want to mount their GPU Vertically with NO issues what so ever. The major 3 Vertical GPU Issues are fully solved with this case. 1. GPU runs much hotter. (SOLVED- Now GPU will get cold air directly from underneath) 2. Beefy GPUs such as AMP Extreme suffer severe suffocation due to side panel close contact. (SOLVED- Case Slot Panel can be rotated, mounting the GPU far from the glass) 3. Big CPU Air Cooler touches the GPU, Mounting Beefy GPU is almost impossible. (SOLVED- Now GPUs can be mounted far bellow the cooler, thanks for sending PSU on the front) Waited TOOO LONG for a True Vertical GPU Mount friendly case. Now I GOT IT!!! Thanks OC3D, for In-depth Review. Cheers!!!
My problem with this is that if you have a few addon cards that are NOT the GPU, you can' t use them because the GPU's in the way mounted vertically, as shown. Fine for a gamer who doesn't do ANYTHING else. Also, I tend to have an SSD in a system and 3-5 HD's as well, so this case doesn't work for me at all. FWIW
@@lko2181cp No mate, look at 3:30, above rotated section you've got 2 more slots. You can add 2 single slot cards, such as a sound card. Thermaltake also got the same slot rotation concept, but in their cases entire section must be rotated. Which will make you use riser cable for all additional cards. But this case leaves 2 slots on its place. This is what drove me crazy.
It's quite a unique case, but it seems they've put loads of effort in to make it work and to make it accessible. I like the rotate-able gpu mount bracket at the back, not sure if CM did it first, but a very good tool for vertical mounting your card.
Probably my favorite case I have ever had. Loved GPU temps, worked great with AIO at the top. Materials and finish was top notch. I really hope they release a follow up to this case. My biggest gripe was that there was no vertical GPU mount included, which I expected with a premium case. Also, they should have worked on better side panel opening solution
How much air flow can you generate from bottom mounted fans? I mean there isn't that much clearance between the surface and the case. Yes we understand that hot air rises, so it makes sense to have the air flow from the bottom to the top, but a front mesh intake just works better. Not even mentioning the amount of dust this case will generate 👀
Silverstone really should release a re-imagined FT02... it would blow this out the water IMHO - the mobo really should be rotated thru 90 degrees here; a normally oriented graphics card is going to obstruct the stack cooling for one. A lot here that 2mins thought would put right but that is Coolermaster all over.
Liked your review. Thanks a lot, also for the many other stuff you check out! Q: Can you recall if the top allows for a push/pull configuration? Looking at your video it seems there is enough space under the mesh compartment above the water AIO.The schematics in the manual suggest that 2x 200mm fans can be installed in addition to water AIO below. Would appreciate your feedback. THX
Cant the PSU be rotated is the extension is on the other side? I have this case, the black one, but still haven't mount any components in it because Covid hit right before I ordered them. TLDR. I guess the intake would face the inside, so I guess that answers my question. 🤦🏽♂️
Is it possible to remove the bottom fans and put them on the top to suck the air out? I was thinking about getting two silverstone 180mm fans (AP183) - cooler master seems not to offer those bottom fans as a separated product, which concerns me because what you are gonna do if they fail? So, I would add two extra fans, plus a noctua nh-d15 with the fan pushing the air upwards.
One thing I don't like about that case is lack of possibility to mount blu-ray drive. I really understand that streaming videos and online downloadable games is a common thing now, but damn I still love watching blu-rays on PC or owning games in boxes. Call me a old-school, but I hope they will consider next revision of that case with that feauture.
If i vertically mounted a GPU in this case tom (rtx 2060 founders) and put my 280mm CPU AIO in the roof would my cpu temps suffer greatly because of the gpu hot air rising?
Can any main stream manufacturer creat a sff that fits full sized atx parts? I feel it's totally unnecessary to have a full tower theses days and most mid towers are nearly as large as a full tower.
Was looking forward to this case... can't decide wether to just switch my h500p to the white version or take this. Maybe this if I want to pursui the Watercooling route. But then again... those dual 200mm at the front of the h500 just look so badass :S HELP! XD First world tech problems here
@@OC3D Yes that's closer to it, but there's no vertical GPU bracket in it, you also have to buy separatly the end cover of the psu shroud... and a swivel door would be so cool.
Hi I'm Bryon great video keep up the great work ! Also can you email me some info on overclocking I have the Asus apex x299 with 7820x skylake & need help squeezing out maximum performance

why do PC case designers still have their heads up their asses? You should not have to pull out and spin around your case to do something as simple as remove and clean your bottm or top filters!?!

1. CPU is now being fed hot air from the GPU (CREATED)
@@brokenstyx Checkmate atheists.

@@brokenstyx Agreed mate, but as the air will come from the bottom, no matter what, CPU will be fed hot air, vertically or horizontally.
the one dislike is from Coolermaster... They didn't like it when tom gave the award to the Corsair sl600m
I like this case very much. Not exactly my cup of tea out of the box but with a little bit of work that could be just perfect.
Its got my modding senses tingling too tbh

U wot mate? 15:33
lol corsair.
I might not have got it wrong if the correct CPU cooler has arrived on time..... Where as you sent the wrong one late....... :p
Best reply of the day :D.
I'm wondering how a custom loop would fit in here. Maybe a res/pump combo where the rear fan would have been and rads top/bottom.

Even though I don't really like the look of components individually, when combined it looks amazing! The whole is greater than the sum of parts.

Very interesting case design. too bad the fans in the bottom isn't RGB, would have looked awesome shining up, and down under the case.
At first glance I thought this was a Mercedes Benz review with a naming skew like that.

Id like to see thermal tests on this...specially with taht 360 aio on top.

I'm glad this companies actually trying different stuff, it must be very expensive to make
15:33 you say the case is Corsair but the title is coolermaster
Love the TopGun T-Shirt !!
Best case ever made. 👌
Taught it was a Coolermaster not a Corsair case, right at the end of the video

Is it possible to reverse the side panels? Like get x2 Glass or x2 Steel?
Oh yes I like it. But do I like it more than the NZXT s340? I think I do.
Cooler Master's Halloween airflow nightmare - very adult to dislike a video instead of improving the product. Brings back memories. #frontpanel
I've seen it in red or blue and it looks stunning. Too bad they only allowed for aluminum color.
nice review! many thanks.

There are lots of compact ATX cases, they are normally budget cases though....

When are we getting ATX smaller cases.... seriously all released cases are still very big...
Most of the small ATX cases are budget cases, there are loads of options
@@OC3D Not quality ones and not with good options. Imagine the Corsair 500d with max size of 45*45 or even 42*42 (cm) that would be amazing.

You wont find your perfect case dude - most of us know we have to mod or adapt a case thats close to be perfect.
Can we use internal DVD or blueray drive ?
No dude. You would need to buy a USB external drive.
Traditional component layout FTW!
About time they put 200mm's on the bottom
I'm gonna stick with my Evolv X

I like!

Hot air rises. Makes sense.

No it doesn't
