That's a rather sleek-looking case. I love the fan setup, and the lighted USB ports are pretty cool. A bit out of my price range, but I still like this case (: - Ziro out.
Very nice case indeed. I really like the thermal design of the cooling on this case. Using natural thermal dynamics of heat rising combined with the concentrated bottom fans for supply and top fans for exhaust is optimal design for cooling. I just purchased a ASUS GT 501 case for my new build or I would have probably gotten one of these after seeing this review. I am happy with the ASUS case, it is amazing , so no regrets.
Hi Nicolas, came across this in my suggestion box and wanted to comment. I am a computer engineer of 20yrs, and in that time I have seen a lot of innovation, some good, some bad, however this case I can "personally" attest to. I have 1st of all as hardware goes, a Maximus XI Formula with a i7 8700k @5ghz on a custom loop cooling, with the 360 radiator at top in "push/pull config. Yes, under the black mesh on the top you can fit 3 fans, then under, (least with my setup), fit the radiator, and 3 more fans. In vertical position, I had just enough room for 2 2080 gfx, along with 32gigs of Trident Z 3200mhz ram. 2 M.2 drives, 1tb each, and a modular Corsair 1000w psu. The 2 200mm fans on the bottom do there job quite well on forcing air up and into the chassis, across both cards, and threw the top of the rad. Air volume in this moves with incredible force, *least to how mine is setup* almost to the point I feel with more powerful fans, my push/pull config would be needless. Now with specs and volume of air flow out of the way, my average temps are better then even some of my more elaborate cases I have built for myself and others in the past. Ambient temp in my office is approx 21c to 22c, Avg CPU temp @idle is 31c with a +/- of 2c, video cards however really shine as idle temps are @27c with a +/- of 2c as well. Under load things heat up however not near as much as one would think, under load cpu clocks in @ 48c with a +/- of 2c, and video cards clock in at 45c with a +/- of 2c. This mind you is under 100% load and ran for 15 mins under said load, not something I or many others would do very often, seeing as how processes are varied greatly and fan noise @load was audible during said test, something that under regular usage is almost never heard. In conclusion, I give this case a great deal of praise, HOWEVER, will cost you a bit to take full advantage of it potential. I would further advise to NEVER use a air cooler in this, even if it can be adjusted for vertical flow. And custom cooling is expensive, least done right, and cooling the gfx cards as well this way was problematic. However with vertical airflow pushing right over them, stock fans on the cards or even upgraded ones do just fine. Also note that my MB has custom ports for VRM cooling which can make temps different for this build VS others depending on the hardware you use. Great Video, glad to see this getting some love, Char~
i am planing to use air cooler in this case. Noctua D15 to be specific. You said not to use air cooler here, can you explain a little bit more about why?
Actually the Case is not expensive for what it offers... USB 3.0 / 2.0 / 3.1 so a total of 5x USB (what is rare these days). 2x 200mm fans PWM controller And basically enough space for everything. For example people consider a Lian Li 011 Dynamic as cheap and good...but offers only 2x USB and not a single fan inside for a 130€ price point. Build your system in this case without buying fans extra and you can throw away your system after a long session of gaming. So 160€ for this case is not really much if you consider what it already has and offers. Also dont forget that The SL600M is the best Case on the market in terms of GPU thermals and average @ CPU thermals (air cooling) If you put a 360 AIO on top you will get good but probably never the best CPU results + this case is much more silence than a lian li 011 dynamic...So in terms of performance this is a absolute monster. Looks is ofc preference...
Hello Great video and it gave me a closer look at this case thank you. I am going to be in the market for a new case this summer because I plan on doing a complete system upgrade and it is time to retire my Antec 900 case which I have modded to make it feel more modern and also to get much better air flow. This has been one of the case I was looking at as well as one of the other Cooler Master Master cases. Both of which have support for up to 4 3.5 HDD's. The other case is more normal case type and it also allows for 4 3.5 drives which I need. I noticed the trend to last couple of years for cases not wanting to give any real support for 3.5 drives. I have been told but hey you can just use External or setup a NAS drive kind of thing. For me I like to have my storage/games drives hooked up inside my system it is a lot cleaner looking as well as lower latency. I am all for SSD storage as well and I have a SSD drive as my Windows drive and it also has a couple of my most played games on it but it is only 512GB so the space fills up rather fast if you allow it to happen. I have 4 4TB WD Black 7200RPM drives that serve as storage and where 98% of my games sit. These drives are pretty quick for mech type drives so I have no real complaints with these drives and am not about to lose 2 of them just because a case maker decides for me that I only need to have 2 of them installed in my new case.
Great review - thanks. One question please: Can the cover be left off the PSU to get it more air? The CPU seems to be behind the main black cover (the one with CM logo) so can't be easily seen anyway. Cheers, from Australia!
Nice, but really impractical with the PSU Power Switch inside the case. I understand when it's done in ITX cases due to spacing, but in a midtower - no.
Everything about this case is great, with one exception. For liquid cooling of the cpu, you're passing very warm case air through cooling radiator. If gaming the video card and rest of system will give off lots of heat, slowly raising the water cooler, liquid temps. Doesn't look very practical to reverse air flow in this case. Having top suck air in, bottom blow out. I still prefer my case airflow to be horizontal.
😏 your right, all its still missing are the upper grab handles like a Mac Pro Tower has, i have a 2,1 that still works just fine ✌😏🍎 The ventilation system from bottom to top is what Puget Workstations do as well 🍄
Yeah... it's an older Cooler Master PSU that still has these cables. :P I tried to "blacken" things up with electrical tape on the GPU leads. I didn't like that yellow. LOL
What do you think of the design here in general?
Do you prefer a more classic one we're used to, or does the SL600M do it better? :D
Innovative , cool ( cooler master) and I'm loving the design and functions.
But I would it really prefer a real exhaust rather than a Universal mount.

Is kraken x62 a good choice for this pc case?

For gaming gpu temperatures are more important because cpu load in gaming never is that high as gpu load.

Check out the recently released ASUS GT 501 it has four nice 3.5" HD bays, three 2.5" SSD bays and two M.2 slots. I just built my new rig with one.
Is it possible to reverse the side panels? Like x2 glass or x2 steel side panel?
Can you mount the PSU with the fan intake facing the bottom? Might get cooler air into the PSU then.

nice furnace i love it
When you said mech , mechwarrior comes to mind.
I miss playing mechwarrior games (offline).
