    Got „this guy“ ;) (the Rapoo MT750) today. Here are some additional information I figured out during the first hours with it, for those who are also thinking about buying one:
    Hardware:
    - the silver frame is not metal as I expected or hoped. It’s plastic. I don’t know whether the frame of the MX Master is plastic or metal. No big point, but metal would make it fell more valuable.
    - the mouse-wheel is not completely fixed in it’s position. It’s possible to slide it a bit (about 1mm or so) to the left and back, where it then clicks into place. But it’s not totally locked there. Has no effect on the usability but seems a bit strange. Is it a defect on mine or do others have the same?
    Software:
    1. MacOS High Sierra
    - connecting via Bluetooth is no problem (pairing via Rapoo-Receiver not testet, cause I don’t want my USB-Port to be blocked by it)
    - Rapoo does not offer an official software for Mac
    - if you want to use and configure all buttons and other options of the MT750 on a Mac you have to download an additional tool like SteerMouse or USBOverdrive
    2. Windows 10 professional (64Bit with latest updates)
    - the official Rapoo-software just works if the mouse is connected via the USB-receiver. Via Bluetooth it does not recognize the mouse although it’s connected.
    - for usage via Bluetooth you can download an additional tool like X-Mouse Button Control to setup all buttons and other options
    Best regards,
    Marc

      I will add something about the mouse. It will sometimes work bad when conected to usb cable when using it with the usb reciver. Probably there are some minor electric problems that brake the connection. Dunno if its only my mouse but its from the beggining ( almost half a year )

      So u don't NEED the usb dongle??

    • @marcw.5079
      @marcw.5079 4 роки тому +2

      Boi Mesa Yes! The USB Dongle that comes with the mouse is not necessary for the usage. You can pair it via Bluetooth on MacOS and Windows. For the full configuration of all buttons you then need one of the software as I mentioned in my first comment.

    I bought it and it has arrived today. I'm very satisfied of this mouse!
    It has been recognized immediately even by my old Linux Ubuntu 16.04. After playing for a while with the mouse settings (dpi, sensitivity, acceleration, etc.) I quickly found the optimal ones.
    It is very precise and I can use it with my CAD application without problems. Some linux applications (i.e. LibreOffice Calc) recognize the second wheel also (to fast scroll left and right).
    It is quite big in the hand but, surprisingly, is not heavy. After one minute or two of use I liked it.
    PRO:
    - very good ergonomics
    - quite silent clicks
    - big and comfortable central wheel
    - pressing the central wheel does not require a bigger force than the other buttons (like it happens in cheaper mouses!)
    - precise positioning for graphic/CAD applications
    - low weight (no AA batteries inside)
    - it slides on any surface type effortless
    - reasonable price
    CONTRA:
    - the two forward/backward buttons would be better positionated on the side of the mouse, like in the previous version*
    CONCLUSION:
    - I would buy it again? Sure.
    Until now I always used cheap mouses. This is a significative step forward!
    -------------------------------------
    (*) Or they could be shaped in a way that the finger "recognizes" them by tactile impression. But maybe it is just a question of habits?

      @_term_ yes.
      Drawback: it still loose communication randomly (every 30 o 40 mins?) You have to move the mouse or press some button to make it working again... But I can live with that.
      I still appreciate the shape and how it fits good in my hand.

    How is the sideways scroll? Does it work consistently and everywhere (web pages /Chrome, MS Office ...), everywhere a laptop's native Synaptic touchpad would work?
    This is the main reason I want this mouse,

    Thanks for your review and long time review! In the first video I saw that you also have a Mac. Does it work with MacOS, too? Did you say something about it?
    Thanks for a reply :)

      yep it works fine with mac os over Bluetooth and the included adapter

    • @marcw.5079
      @marcw.5079 6 років тому

      CPU modder sounds great. After some research it looks like the Rapoo software is only available for Windows, so for button-configuration on macOS an additional app like Steermouse or USBoverdrive is needed, right?
      Greetings from Germany :)

    today my MX master 2s was starting to fail on me, so I started to look online for a cheap mouse with a rechargeable option and came across the MT750Si bought it for 54 $ Australian have you done a review on that particular model also wanted to ask is the Logitech USB Dongle Compatible with the Rapoo mouse ?

  • @sfh2050
    @sfh2050 3 роки тому +5

    I will give you long term review of MX Master. The body will last about 4 years and functionality until 5 years after rough use. Now it stops losing power very often and I have to turn it off and on every time. China has done it again. Way to go China.

    I've been using a 10€ Victsing mouse for well over 3 years now. It's great. I will try this one because I need multi device functionality now. My theory is that a cheap mouse doesn't have to be any less good. They likely cut costs on marketing, employees, customer service, software development and design - all they have to design is a half decent, well working copy of something that already exists while Logitech is probably going for a much more fundamental approach. Development vs. copying. If you can pay double to get something that looks and feels a little bit nicer, go for it. If not, these alternatives are often more than good enough.

      Honestly I never tried the Logitech MX Master, but this one is great, IMHO.

    The quality of the product is low. After 4 months, the scroll wheel stopped working. When scrolling up or down, it often slips and does not scroll on the screen, or scrolls in the opposite direction. I do not recommend to buy.

    Anyone have the issue that when you have installed the Rapoo driver, your mouse just stops working? Only way i got it to work is by uninstalling the driver but the side trackwheel doesn't work.

    • @yiming99
      @yiming99 5 років тому +1

      no way, as mentioned in the video, there's no battery level monitor built in

    • @rkmag1141
      @rkmag1141 3 роки тому

      actually, when using thru bluetooth (not thru the dongle), you can see the battery level of the device displayed under "Bluetooth Devices". I'm not sure how accurate the displayed value is since I'm new with this mouse.

    Why use usb dongle if it can just connect to Bluetooth?

  • @elnurmehdiyev5062
    @elnurmehdiyev5062 4 роки тому

    Stop working with dongle, there are periodic hangups with dongle, and when switched to bluetooth - when mouse says inactive for several minutes it stop working, looks like going to sleep mode, but does not wake up if moved or pressed any button, the only way of getting mouse to work again - to repair. Does anybody experience this? What is the solution apart from buying original logitech :)

    Hi, I got this mouse yesterday and found that the wheel can tilt to the right but the left seems to be either broken or just not a feature. Is this the case with anyone else's ?

    This morning, updated Windows (update and shut down since I was in a hurry) cane back and booted it up in the arvo, i leave it to boot up while i drop off a load on the throne and by the time get back to the pc it had blue screened so i left it to repair it self but that didnt work. I tried to gack to the previous windows version but i got an error. So the only choice i had was to reset windows. Thing is i dont keep much on my boot drive bu the shit that is on it are my clients such as steam, editors like vtfedit gimp totally not a cracked version of photo shop and other shit that i have to reinstall. The worst part was that my rainmeter theme/setup got reset and i hate it when something i organized gets screwed over, i can deal with settings being reset and custom scripts being removed but if my desktop vanity gets fucked 8ver my day will be ruined. And unlike u iuse a logitech m280 from 2014 that has a dpi of 1000 and the scroll wheel/mouse 3 is fucked
