Just got my alien today and i went out and tried it, the best way to explain the flight is overstable, stable, understable at the same time but im also doing form changes to and its leading me to be somewhat inconsistent so it might mostly be me however on a little anhyzer it stays turned without fade like a 4/2/-2/0 and flat it flys like the numbers stamped at 4/2/0/1 and a little hyzer it's like a 4/2/0/3
Thank you! Yeah I was a bit off on this one, too. I do plan on doing a review of the Mockingbird in the future. I think it's one of Lone Star's best discs, and for me it's my favorite in their line-up.
Great video! Your knowledge about discs and obvious love for the sport makes the video that much better! In my video, I compared the bottom of it to a gator. Never owned or thrown a gator but the closest thing I could find on my shelf that matched the bottom half was a verdict. Google said the verdict is most like the gator. Hope I didn't make myself look too stupid 😅. Keep it up!!
You might be right! The rim isn't exactly like a Pig or Jay, but that's the closest I could find. Didn't have a Gator to compare, so I just went with rims I knew. 😁
I don’t think you were throwing the alien bad , I think that it is just like that , not good glide maybe had more turn rating I’m getting some new jays in the mail next week tho
Yeah it's definitely me not throwing it as good as I could. The Alien is a fine disc. I bagged for about 3 months. I would personally use the Jay more. I pretty much use 3-speed discs for most of my putter throws, and the 5-speed mids for anything longer.
Yeah I ordered a Jay and already had an MD3, checked them out and they were the same. Then I remembered my Atlas looks a lot like the 2 discs, and has similar flight numbers. Sure enough, all 3 look identical. They fly the same, too.
Thanks for taking us along on this review. Trying to keep all of the parts of a throw together for us Ams is difficult enough without having to narrate and produce a video at the same time. Have a great day, Nick!

Loving the new Alien!
I don't throw Innova but still thought it was a good video. Your las comparison was better to me but I throw lone star. Keep them coming....

@@NickCarroll I started with the Mockingbird as my favorite but have switched to the Dome. More distance and control/forgiveness for me...

The dog running by at the end lol.
He's a regular there, but he absolutely rattled me! 🤣

@@NickCarroll yeah I really like the panther so I got some jays because they seem similar 54-21 and 5401 the jay seems like a more stable panther
Son of a bitch! I never put the atlas and the Jay together.

Going to hit the field today after work then. Might as well bring along the iron samurai/ metal warrior and see which one I like best.
@@tdwester I've thrown them both. Great discs!
Well you are 100% correct. I will say the XT atlas is the straightest of the bunch, but yeah all the freaking same.
