Mac I have never Carried the emotions of a loss to the next game like I did with game 3. I woke up and chose violence today. What Embid did and then his attitude after doing it then the lose it all compound to rage. He’s always been a Big baby with everything if you have time we can go over it all. You’re right this is now personal!!!!
I used to like Embiid and I always had respect and I think people have been harsh on him.
All the playoff failures despite being MVP and pressure, also playing in a city like Philly similar to NYC where you know you’re gonna hear it has led to extreme criticism of him we know and the Sixers.
The pressure feels like it’s clearly gotten into him from all the criticism that he’s faced. This can explain but not excuse what he’s doing.
It’s like being cornered with feeling you have no way out. You resort to anything aka be dirty and act innocent. You convince yourself you’re justified in all actions leading to being seen as a victim. Its survival.
He knows he’s not getting younger with his size and knees the window be closing.
If the Sixers lose this series, in the first round , you know he’s gonna hear even more criticism. The rumors about him coming to us might’ve been him worrying about that although we know he ain’t coming anymore.
This is the definition of one trying hard to prove oneself, especially when labeled “soft” especially in a masculine dominant hot take world of pro sports.
But that doesn’t excuse or make what he’s done acceptable at all.
That he’s felt that he has to go this low - pun intended - more than once and then play victim has dramatically changed my view of him, even if I can see why he might based on what I wrote.
I, again was a fan of him and defender against criticism of him before this series.
It’s sad as I think it is related to the history criticism he’s received on some level….
but that again not good enough to be willing to risk someone’s career as he did.
That’s crossing a line dipping into real deal narcissism and selfishness that I can’t forget.
The NBA should not be tolerating this and they should be careful about what they’re allowing, it might come back to haunt them.

Nahh i dont think this is something too recent. I saw this vid and wow.. the way he does things looks despicable at best.. i hope he NEVER becomes a Knick. For all the talent he has, the personality and evil intent is just something that cant be ignored..
In Q3, the Knicks took about 6-7 possessions off on offense with bad or quick shots and that was the difference.

I think we gotta do what the Heat did. Double up or attack Embiid as soon as he gets the ball so that way he can’t get a shot off at random times to disrupt his rhythm. Philly needs to play perfect to keep winning. Even with no Mitch and that monster 3rd quarter, we were still within 8 in the 4th, and we missed two back to back opportunities down 8 that could've put us to at least 4pts behind.

There was also one play where Joel tried to trip JB while he was running pretty fast. Who knows what would have happened if he connected on the trip (Joel stuck his leg out very blatantly).
