- It has been a while since last post but here we are.. :) I have four videos already filmed but I'm so swamped with work that I have almost no free time to edit. As soon as I move in, videos will come regularly I promise;) In this episode I cover the work on steel fences on the staircase and upper floor. also a wooden fence on the second floor. The steel fences are made out of 8mm steel rods and will one day be covered with vines . My fiancee already planted some of them and hopefully they will thrive. Area beneath the staircase will hopefully be perfect for them. If you want to know more details, please make sure to turn on the CC for subtitles.

I really look forward to your house build project updates so much. Thanks for the films , theyre really brilliant.
Glad you like them! Much more to come😁
I’m exhausted just watching; what energy; what repetition.
Yeah I know what you mean😅 Just wait for what more I have planed😉
Who loves a lignum vid?
We loves a lignum video!
😁thank you everybody!
👏
This house is gaining a lovely mid-20th century vibe, which I love. My parent designed and built in that period the house I grew up in and it had many similar design elements to it.
I keep watching this building of your own house from part 1 to this part 18
Thank you very much for that!🙂
Very different from what we usually see. Great to see someone who has the ability to play around to see what they'll love.
As alway's guy's 💯% 👍 🇬🇧.
I was researching glulam and clt woods, ended up watching your house project and it's mesmerizing, thx for the uploads!
Thank you for watching! I'm glad you like it😁
Thank you for sharing with us :)
outstanding job
No way! Canceled my plans to watch your video. Glad You're back!
Hope you enjoyed it!😁 thank you
Enjoyed the emphasis on verticality.
As much as I love the making basses videos, I also love watching lignum make his house.
Nice progress. I would make sure that those vines are not the kind that stick to anything or they will cover the ceiling and you won’t be able to control the growth with those high ceilings. Then again, it’ll give an opportunity to invent the world’s longest pair of cutters… 😊
😄yeah, I see myself one day coming back from a vacation to see the house turn into jumanji house hehe..
Love the mid-century vibe those wooden slats have lent to the house: Great choice, not to mention, as always, the involved skills.
Thank you for sharing your hard work and creativity and taste with us.
Your dedication for perfection and precision to repetitious and or monotonous jobs never ceased to amaze me my friend!
You have a beautiful house, you must have a ton of people wanting to apprentice for you. Absolutely beautiful.
This has been a great build series to watch, also seeing a young couple make a home for themselves makes you feel good inside and why does this music make me think of a guy dressing all in black with a twirly moustache, tying a girl to the railroad tracks?
Can't wait to see the end result. So cool seeing the whole process.
The rods look great however you'll might be in trouble when you want to bring something big upstairs like a furniture. Anyway, so good to see an update :)
Yeah but I figured I will take that into consideration when making it. I worry that big glass panel will be a pain to move and maneuver around the bend on top of the stairs.. thank you for watching! 😁
멋쪄요~~~대단하십니다.
That vine wall is going to look great!
Madness! This is the biggest harp so far! Great work, as usual.
Actually it also makes a sound😁 thank you very much!
Amazing, what else!
New lignum video? Oh heck yeah!
😀😀😀
It has been a while.. 🙂
This is the grandest house build I have ever seen. Thanks for always being creative and entertaining.
Glad you enjoy it! Thank you very much Mark!🙂
Not another one floating bed, ha! Such an elegant solution makes me feel inspired again. Want to visit this museum after it's finished.
Wow. Design at next level, didn't expect that!
Glad you like it! Thank you!😁
Looks cool!
However, I doubt the vines from downstairs will manage to climb the steel rods. From my experience vines need something to latch onto, and steel is too smooth and hard for them. You could make a "ladder" for the vines by tying small knots of hemp wire or a similar natural material along the rods to help them up
Frumoasă casă și meșteri pricepuți. Felicitări , mult spor!
Thank you very much!
Impressive house build with good eye for details.
Do you have some architectural or construction technology background?
Did you spend some time in US or Canada?
There are some parts of your construction that probably went a bit overboard, and could have been done for less money
or somewhat differently. For example, styrofoam insulation has pretty good thermal insulation values, but it is also highly flammable. Mineral wool, on the other hand is not bad, and is also fire resistant.
Still, very well done.
Great job.
bravo !!
Looking great as always! It will look so good with the vines!
Fingers crossed!😁thank you Ellie
Great!
Magnificent!!
Are you guys Architects, I already like the interior
😁No, not really.. Glad you like the interior, but it is still far from finished.
Prelijepa kuća, svaka čast!
Amazing Design as always!
Thank you very much!😁
excelente como siempre,un saludo desde argentina
Thank you very much! Greeting from Croatia!😁
Félicitations pour votre projet grandiose. Admiratif de la maîtrise des différents corps de métier de depuis le début du chantier fondations jusqu’aux finitions vraiment bravo 👏👍
Thank you very much! I'm really glad you like it so far.🙂
Beautiful work. I feel your pain on the test color wall. The pothos is an excelent indoor vine. Try adding a few variegated pothos for some variety.
Planting and caring for the plants will be my better half domain.😁 I'm sure that what she has planed won't disappoint. Only worry I have is that there won't be enough direct sunlight ..
That was a lot of work G, congrats, looks awesome. Regards to blonde foreman ;)
Much appreciated😁 thank you.
I wonder what it's like to be this competent.
😁thank you very much but I believe that what one man can do, another can do also.
Wauw... 🤗
Jedna zamjerka, na svakom kraju videa su krupni i brzi kadrovi pa se teško može vidjeti krajnji rezultat. Jedino ako to čuvaš za zadnji video.
excellent
Many many thanks🙂
Excellent job!
How much did it all cost if it's not a secret?
The paint testing wall....leave it be. It fits.
Maybe I just will 😁
Who is here from the very beginning?
I know I am 😅
😍
wauw!
👍🏻👍🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Probably very dumb question but are the steels fences built to fall into them? If you trip on the stairs
omg i thought you has finish your house, its been two years already .
Looks great!
Was using steel rods a purely aesthetic choice or do they have advantages compared to steel wire rope?
Steel rods more rigid, isn't it? Without need as much tension force as wire rope if wanted the same rigidness.
They are more rigid and there will be more raw visible steel in the interior so they fit more visually. Lower price is an added bonus hehe..
how many of are going to live in that house? 25?
😁 two for now.
Click laminate flooring was a complete surprise... didyou run out of money or something?
Was a plan from the start for the top level. Price was just an added bonus😁
@@lignumchannel Why tho? it's so tacky, and gets destroyed easily by just a bit of water
@@shooshx
There are laminate floors, then there are laminate floors. Not all are created equal.
Pergo, made by a Swedish company that invented the stuff is excellent.
I had it in my house.
Please let us know the final budget of this exceptional home in USD$
