Hell yeah dude, looks like we are kinda on the same path! Dig the slayer vibes on the demo song. Keep it up. I def know that these videos can take all day to do
@@DeathMetalDevin haha yeh man. It’s important to take a break from to avoid burnout. I’m a musician more than a videographer hahaha. Nothing wrong with a bit of slayer vibes haha. Channeling the old styles is always fun!!!
Hell yeh. And it's nice and thin. I have bad elbows, and I find playing this one doesn't hurt as much because my arm doesn't sit out as far. It really is a nice axe!!!
Good to see you and your new videos, man! Excellent sounding demo, thick guitar tone and convincing sympho atmospheres. I've been using Audio Assault plugins for years myself, love their ampsims with free longtime updates (very customer-friendly). They also have great mixing plugins, like saturation, exciter etc. Their new free bass plugin is also very usable.
I'm the same man. I still have all the original plugins as standalone. I will admit I miss the 5150 that used to change color. That was a cool little touch. I may have to look into their mixing plugins. Never really checked them out. I did grab the free amp locker but haven't picked up the Klank yet although, I did have the standalone version ages ago but not sure if I can get that anymore!
@@DuFFuL Same here with their older plugins still installed. It feels like they sound a bit different. Especially Emperor (I prefer it's oldest version sound). Klank is awesome for mid to high-gain bass, definitely worth picking up. If you bought it before it should be already added to your bass locker. I never really liked their Duality Bass plugin though, didn't sound good to my taste. Oh, AHM5050 no longer changes color based on the tube type knob - indeed, that's a shame. Audio Assault's (5db5?) mixing plugins that I used and liked - XCTR, Head Crusher, RM-2, Defacer, The Punch (+ some others, but I didn't play with them enough). They sound great, and the good thing is that it's easy to get very pronounced results if needed.
@ I’ll check those out for sure man!! Especially while they are on sale! Thanks for the suggestion. As for klank, I think I bout it on an old email that I don’t know what it is because it’s not showing up in my purchases anywhere. Am I mistaking in thinking that when it first released it was free?
@@DuFFuL You are welcome! I think AA's main expertise is everything around saturation-drive-distortion (i.e. ampsims and coloration plugins). Though pedals like Screamer etc. do sound a bit better from the likes of Audiority Green Reaper than the one in the Amp Locker. But AA's amps are great. I don't think Klank was free. I just dug old promo emails - the intro price was $19.99. Maybe try installing their Bass Locker and see if Klank shows up? Or maybe you could email Audio Assault if you have a receipt? Also, their free Bass TR is quite good.
That’s funny I just saw the AD for this on Facebook earlier and totally forgot I have Amp Locker and Reamp 2 turned into it. The amps are definitely wayyyyyy better than they were in the original reamp plugin. Going to grab this if I don’t already have it. Awesome demo btw! I definitely subscribed
@@MetalheadOv666 thank mate. Really appreciate it. Audio assault really has come a long way. Easily up there with the more expensive plugins. Worth every cent
@ I grabbed the amp and the low and massive cab pack and mesa OS with the Lichtlaerm Audio LCFR 150, two Fane speakers, and Hesu Demon and all sound killer! It’s nice it gives the packs for Amp Locker and then a shitload of IRs to use for your IR loader or in my case I put some on my Mooer Radar for silent practicing at night with the Lichtlearm Audio Gehenna preamp pedal which is awesome! If u haven’t tried any of his pedals or ThisHeavyEarth pedals you really need to
Love it man, sounds freakin' awesome. You certainly know what you are doing. Congrats on the new Ibanez, certainly looks the part. Can recall if I tried their RGA series, I've got an RG. The arch top, especially around the horns looks sick. I like audio assault - I've got Amp Locker with ReAmp 2 and I think 13 of the main paid amps. I recently installed Bass Locker but haven't used it much although Klank is pretty good. I've also got a few of their stand alone (most are now in Amp Locker) including Berry Amp which I really like. My challenge is I don't really know what I'm doing in Amp Locker so mostly just use presets at the moment. Eventually I'll figure out what I'm doing and this isn't just limited to AA stuff, I haven't really explored how to adjust amps in general. Thanks for the recommendations for extra stuff like the Monster Soundscapes. I just installed it and instantly had a go at dropping in some thunder. I got a heap of Native Instruments stuff when I got a Machine Mikro Mk3 a few months ago but haven't really installed any of it. Just installed Kontakt 8 player to find out that the Jacob Collier choir wants Kontakt 7. Oh well, should probably try the other stuff I got included. Looking for Pneuma Pro and not sure if the guy has his own site or you just have to find it on another site - from what I've read it's been discontinued.
Wow I just looked at that. Thats really sucks. It's such a great plugin. I guess I will have to hang on to the version I have now that I won't be able to get it again.I have been using Jacob Collier in Kontakt 8 and it works fine. Not sure why you would have any troubles with that one. Another great free synth plugin is SurgeXT. Check that one out as well man. Worth a look!!
@@DuFFuL thanks for this tip with SurgeXT. I hadn't used Kontakt prior to today and when I used the NI installer, I installed Kontakt 8. I then went to install Jacob Collier and pretty sure it said I had nothing to play it and asked me to install 7. I'll uninstall 7 as I just tried it with 8 in Reaper and it's working fine. Thanks for the tip with SurgeXT.
I used Ultimate heavy drums from MDLtone. I do show that off in the mix rundown towards the end. Glad you liked the song. Its a fun one to play!! Im not really one for technical stuff. I just like it to be fun to play.
Beautiful guitar....I have several Ibanez guitars and basses. They always have super great action....even their cheap Gio series of guitars play great!!! Like you, I don't tune down super low....not my style, either. I tune 1/2 step down usually...then i may drop the low E to C#. Glad that you got a new axe.... you're gonna love that RG...they are awesome!
For sure man. I'd been in the market for something new for a while. I'm not one to spend big dollars on a guitar. I simply don't see the value in the quality difference. These days, some of the cheaper guitars are better quality then the expensive ones.
@DuFFuL Very true, DuFFuL....I buy cheaper (less expensive) guitars and I do my own set-ups on them and then they play great! I've discovered some less expensive strings that sound great as well...The S.I.T. (Stay In Tune) brand is very good. I bought the Willie Adler set 10-48 gauge ..I really love them! *I bought some David Ellefson bass strings as well...just as good as the other name brands. I also buy cheaper pickups as well. Guitar Fetish has some amazing sounding pickups for $25 to $35 USD. I bought a single coil humbucker blade pickup that will hang with a Seymour Duncan JB or Hot Rails. I am not sure if you buy gear off of Amazon in Australia....if you do, Fleor pickups sound great as well... they're really inexpensive but nice quality.
@@mdwayne741 Thanks man. I will check out all your suggestions. I'm always in the market for saving money.!!! Shit just be way to expensive these days and this is a hobby after all.
Also Shibalba and Britone can sound so amazing and quite unique in high gain (and in cleans) if you adventurously tweak their settings. I love that they are so different (and harmonically rich), as a lot of plugins on the market sound similar.
As far as I understand, Britone is a custom mod version of several Marshalls in one plugin, and it's unique, kind of a new mutant amp version. I don't know if there's anything else like that with these particular mods - other Marshall ampsim plugins seem to be more standard amp emulations. Britone is so enjoyable and satisfying to play on high gain, the way it reacts to the pick hitting the strings, juicy, transparent and sharp chug-chug attack. Very very nice and fresh. Though it's a bit challenging to fit in the mix, but the benefit is a more unusual sound.
I have had that poster since he died. I was about 17 then. My wife keeps telling me to throw it out because it's all ripped in the corners, but I won't. I love that shot of him. I only have two guitarists that really influenced my playing, and he is one of them!
