My 6s that I’m using rn to type this is on iOS 15.8, I only use this phone at home for videos or whatever. It still has the original battery and it’s so bad but it’s not slow like you would think it is. Such a good phone. Miss those years when we all lived with these phones (6,7,8)
It'd be good for a music or media device where you can really benefit from a headphone jack or something to give to a younger kid for games that doesn't break the bank
The last generation with headphone jack which Apple will never bring back. Samsung phones have followed suit and botched their line-up of phones as well. Dongles and wireless headphones aren't the answer and there's no phone manufacture that offers a quality phone with a built in headphone jack anymore (I don't trust Xperia phones). Photos taken on the iPhone 6S still look great and it supports Live photos.
Totally disagree with this review's conclusion that "there isn't any reason for anyone to buy one of these phones, even someone on a budget. For those on a budget; even a BROKEN 10r is better than either one of these". First of all, a used iPhone 6s can be had for around $75, while a used iPhone 6s Plus can be had for around $105. What other, newer phone are you going to get at those prices that's still fully functional with 4G? and a LOT of people don't want to go to 5G because of the radiation and health problems associated with it. Second, who in their right mind would buy a "broken" phone of any kind? It's broken, for Pete's sake. You're actually advising people to buy broken phones instead of fully functioning phones??? That's just nuts. No one things passing up a perfectly good functioning item of any kind in order to buy a broken item is a good idea and it's certainly not something that someone should be recommending, especially if they have no clue as to what is "acceptably" broken, and what is not "acceptably" broken, whatever that might be in your estimation. Personally, I just bought another 6s Plus to replace the 6sPlus I had that had it's battery expand and lift and deform the LCD panel. Only 2 years old and "it's obsolete"? For who? They're the last phones with headphone jacks, the screen resolution is great, and the camera is fantastic. Suits all my needs, and for $105, it can't be beat. I still use a 4s 64GB as an MP3 player, as it fits nicely in my pocket, and the 6s Plus as my phone and camera (and sometimes internet when needed, like when I'm out in the stores shopping). The cheapest 10r 128GB actually available on eBay right now is $149 plus tax, so around $160, which is more than double what you can purchase a 6s 128GB for. Looks like you need to learn what it really means to be on a budget. For some folks even $75-$105 is a difficult purchase with their limited financial means all by itself, without tacking on an additional $75 or more to what's already a difficult purchase for them.
Watching this with my iphone 6s recently given to me by my grandma😌
Time to upgrade that crap. It’s ancient and past its use by date. Unsupported
