I remember the wonder in my kids eyes watching all the Star Wars movies ( yes even those). There is something about Hamill that brings magic to the screen. I’m glad my kids get to enjoy it.
While this comment might get lost, I wanted to say something. I LOVE how Mark told Cameron "You're not playing baseball." which was a fantastic jab at the sequels since one of the many complaints that people had was that the lightsaber fights felt off since the actors treated the lightsabers like baseball bats over actual swords. Just found that funny.
Ok imagine if Mark got to Direct a Luke Skywalker trilogy with Sebastian Stan as a Young Luke taking Place in between Episode 6 & Episode 7 and he got to direct exactly why his character ended up in the place he was in by Episode 8.
Imagine Mark Hamill as Luke Skywalker, and Hayden Christensen as Anakin Skywalker training Cameron Monaghan as Cal Kestis in the ways of the Force In ToTJ, TBB, K, and Mandoverse seasons 2-3
Never gonna happen. Cal is 13 years older than Luke. In the canon book Star Wars Brotherhood, Jaro Tapal congratulates a newly knighted Anakin Skywalker during the mass knighting ceremony. Anakin notices a boy with red hair following Jaro around. That was Cal.
