Just sworn in as a EO, just for the fact that I have a chance of being apart of UCT and being a diver. Shipping out February 3rd, future diver here HOOYAH.
Seabees are awesome. What a unique division within the overall Navy framework. They have Army characteristics, Marine characteristics, obviously the inherent Navy characteristics, and special warfare characteristics all rolled into one.
If these Navy Divers training is certified with training records and letters of certification and is equal to their civilian counter parts they can make at 6 digit annual pay.
Daniel Flack Ay that was the best answer I’ve ever read, thanks! I’m looking towards BU and OS at the moment, but I’m so excited for all of it. Thanks for the reply mate
There Divers. While handling the divers umbilical, your called a tender. The tender helps or dresses the diver , assists him to the water, maintains control of the umbilical and diver. He then helps the diver out of the water , unhats him , checks to ensure he's OK and will stay within eye sight for at least 10 minutes to ensure no embolism may have occurred.
Can a BU apply for dive school ? What if his going to med school can that help ? If I also use it to become an officer ? This is my plan since I got the job
Yes just after two years you can put in a package and gotta pass the pft screening and then 6 months of dive school. Im currently a bu and believe that’s how the processing is
U have to be a Seabees first. Go to navy recruiter office and tell you wanna join as a seabee. Once u done with boot camp and A school you will most likely go to a battalion and from there u can talk to your chain of command about joining UCT. You usually have to be in battalion for 2 years before being able to put your packet for UCT but sometimes they need people bad so might be able to go early than usual
I am a seabee, and I have been in battalion almost 2 years haha, I already contacted my command NCC, I got all the answers I need, thank you again!@@RogueSeabee
