The one annoyance I've found it the amount of time it takes to re-pair on Bluetooth after it auto-sleeps. There is a way to turn off auto-sleep though (hold down FN + S + O for 3 seconds, do the same to turn it back on). I'm also a Linux user, so the function keys didn't work for me. This was easy to rectify though by creating file /etc/systemd/system/keychron.service with the following contents: [Unit] Description=The command to make the Keychron K2 work [Service] Type=oneshot ExecStart=/bin/bash -c "echo 0 > /sys/module/hid_apple/parameters/fnmode" [Install] WantedBy=multi-user.target When done, run: sudo systemctl start keychrone.service And to make sure this always executes on startup: sudo systemctl enable keychrone.service

hey kitty! stumbled upon your review! thank you so much for a thorough review on the Keychron K2 V2. i have been eyeing this keyboard for quite some time now and you answered most of my questions like the height of the keyboard and does it really need a wrist rest for typing as I will be coming from a pretty low profile keyboard too (logitech K380) looking at this option because of the mac function keys above. seems like this is the only mech keyboard that caters mac users like me. i mean yes, other keyboards do offer mac compatibility, but feels like keychron nailed the attention to details for mac users. 😁✌🏻
You said you’re in the UK, and you speak with an RP accent. So I’m going to go out on a limb here and guess that you’re British :) I’m curious therefore as to why you didn’t order it with the UK layout - they sell that on Amazon. The single height Enter key on US keyboards is horrible.
I've ordered the UK ISO version. It's available on Keychron website, although quicker and potentially slightly cheaper via Amazon - Keychron have expensive shipping fees to UK.

I have about 10 keyboards, the K2 I'm using replaces my Apple wireless and wireless with numeric keypad. I'm now in a job where the numeric keypad isn't really used as much. My favorite feature is the snipping tool which I use quite a bit. Loving it so far and I work at home so I'm not worried about who I sit next to. As for keys glossing over after a while, for $20 I can just get new keys and I have another year or two out of it. I didn't get the RGB version, I found no use for it. I'd like to have a case for it though. Great keyboard.
KEYCHRON K2 :Just dropping by to contribute my review after seeing so many reviews on youtube and i finally got one. I am a newbie in mech keyboards. So this is my first one after going through so many videos and finally deciding on this one. PERFECT. I really like this keyboard, typing on it right now. It charges well, connects well and just wonderful to type on. I use it for programming and normal tasks,no gaming. So for people like me, it is perfect! Previously I was all out Logitech and I though they were the best, I know now. This is better! But it is heavy. I got the aluminium base. So i dont think it is suitable to take outside.
I don't if you know that if you are using zoom, you can set up suppress background noise on the audio setting, usually on low, you can eliminate the sound of mechanical keyboard.
No one mention about horrible fingers ghosting on these gray keycaps. Even if you wash a hands right before using, you get traces all over just after few mins. During gaming it's even worst when your hands sweating.
Hi Chris, I use the “Nulaxy Laptop Aluminium Stand” which I ordered off Amazon - not much to say about it, it’s good quality and does the job :) I will do a setup video in the future!
Thanks for this! I'd like the aluminium body (which comes with RGB backlighting) like yours, but I also don't like fancy RGB. I'd prefer a more plain white backlight that doesn't change when I'm pressing keys - just all the keys lit up all the time, with adjustable brightness. Does the one you have do that? Thanks :)
Thanks for the review. I’m using mac and looking got something more substantial. Is there a way to disable the rgb button? Ive heard it can be pressed accidentally. Also I’m not sure best place to buy in UK

Might want to lower the music volume a bit, or tweak your audio to make up for it. Otherwise great video!
