This was my first guitar, I got it in...93? Saved up money babysitting for a Summer to grab it from a pawn shop. If you ever see another or decide to sell one, I'd love to have one again!!
I have a red one of these. No case though. Do you know if it'll fit in a bass case per chance? Do you have an original case or do you use something else?
I don't have the original case for this one, but I did get a hold of another black one that did come with the case. The original cases are really cheap and flimsy, so I have the newer one in 'one size fits all' gator case I had laying around. It does flop around in there a bit, but I don't worry about the guitar falling out of it like I did with the factory case.
Yo if you're still on UA-cam I have the same exact guitar with the original neck it's missing the bridge and the locking nut nuts the rail is still there for it. and the plastic nut
I now consider myself an expert on these. lol After I started this project, I managed to get a hold of a one owner all original example with it's original case! Any questions you have, I'd be glad to answer!
@@socialgarbage2 I found a tiger stripe model. I think the bridge is messed up in not 100% sure though. The plate does not seat flat to the piece that goes into the cavity. The neck is pretty beat I'm thinking since you used a charvel neck here a jackson neck should work as well right?
@@mickeycallaway9406 I did have to sand the neck and neck pocket a bit to get it to fit on mine. The original neck is a 21 fret, and the Charvel is a 22, so it was a bit wider at the end. When I did this, I had no knowledge of scale length, or intonation, so I shudder to think of how bad it must actually be. I was 19 when I made this monster, and I plan on doing things correctly this time around. The bridges on these old Series 10 guitars are pretty bad units. Cheap metal, and cheaply made parts. Most of the ones I have found are usually cracked or missing most of the parts. The one in this video is mostly a lost cause. I've been looking into turning it into a hard tail. I know the model you have, it was made in 1986. The neck it used was shared by several other models between 1985-1987, so they're quite easy to find. There's actually one on ebay right now.

My first guitar 30 years ago was a red one, but it had a strat style trem. I've been looking for another but no luck yet.
Shortly after I made these videos, I manage to find a one owner black one with its original case on Ebay. I'm still hunting for the red one. Some day!
I found a Framus 12 string that my mother had pawned years later. SO it does happen..
