- I bought a 2018 Jackson Pro Series King V KV MAH with factory hard case, and when the box arrived, it had a rather concerning hole in it, so I wanted to document the unboxing just in case there was damage to the guitar. Happy to say that it was unharmed in shipping, and sounds and plays amazing!

What are your thoughts on this guitar? I’m considering getting one
I am very happy with it. I love the neck feel, very smooth and fast, the Floyd is spot on and hasn't shown any signs of losing tune no matter how much I abuse it, and the pickups cover everything from a subtle crunch to screaming lead. I'm not really a Floyd guy, but it was the only way to get this finish. I have replaced the black speed knobs with gold knurled knobs from a Jackson Warrior I have, it was really the only thing I didn't really like as far as appearance goes. I give it a solid 10/10 as it is now, and would have no regrets buying it again.

A question regarding the color. Is it as reddish brown as shown on Jacksons own presentation, or is it more a light birch? It literally looks like two different guitars depending on the picture.

Mine is definitely a lighter shade than the one in their video. The rest of it looks spot on. I imagine tops will vary in redness based on the grain of the individual tops.
How's it holding up today? Any maintenance problems?
None at all. It's a pretty solid unit, I keep the Floyd clean and lubricated, and it has never failed to hold or return to pitch, nothing has worked its way loose yet either. One of the best guitar purchases I've ever made.
