"Of or producing a sensation of uneasiness or fear" . Seeing timo with these colors, and the idea of him being a member of the chinese team gives me just that, uneasiness and fear :)
@IseeYouNewb Actually in the Olympics in 2012, only 2 people are now allowed to represent their country in singles for Table Tennis. This is a new rule brought in by the ITTF to stop the Chinese dominating the podium (like last time). Also Zhang Jike won the World Championships, not the World Cup, and he IS NOT automatically qualified. The World Team Champs allows 1 COUNTRY to qualify, this may be what you're thinking of. The qualification for singles is done by the highest 2 ITTF ranked players
@17teacmrocks oh i forgot to mention. also anyone outside of china can play if they want. it's just that a club may not necessarily accept a player to play for them. all the china tournaments must have a region they're representing for their club like shandong and zhejiang. 3 players per team.
@CLIFINHO10 uncalled for man. Everyone knows that timo is capable of more, but if he plays like that then he's bound to lose to anyone. Good job to Fang bo.
@andrewkoay92 all the juniors play similar since they learn the same technique and coaching. it's only when they reach 1st string they branch off with their own style and individual coaches
@DimaKats2 not true. the kid doesn't know what he's talking about. the way the chinese teams work is that they maintain player "points" for their overall performance. the highest rated players play in house tournament. 1st string national team members automatically get in. the videos that you see broadcast are only the ones that get past RR but there are actually a lot more players that played before these
fang bo is same yr as yan an? very good judgement on boll's service n good return, tight control. boll is not good enough yet for olympic champion really, 8:6 win:loss ratio, wif one of them zhang got injured. thanks for sharing nice vid
@DimaKats2 , for example the olympics in 2012: 3 chinese players are allowed to play there, so zhang jike has got the first "spot" because he won the Wordl cup, the second and third spot will probably be taken by ma lin, wang hao, or ma long, but not all 4 of them are allowed to play, while timo can play there without a doubt! if timo was chinese, he would have to be a lot better at the moment to qualify for the olympics ;) and the rest is as I said. @17teacmrocks make ur homework dude, fail >,
@molitatron he's been doing that for yrs. how do u think he got back to being no.1 for a short while? after getting demolished by china's top 3 again and again, he went to china superleague to train since around '05. a lot of his close to the table attacks were refined there. if u watch his older videos, he was slower and his inside attacks weren't sharp enough.
@SSJ5VegetaV4 I don't know, I think in the long run this should be beneficial. I mean, Boll said it himself, when he is in europe, all he gets to play against are people who are lower level than him, thats not a good way to improve, if you really want to improve, you have to play people as good or better than you. Plus, this isn't the first time Boll has played in the Superleague, so it shouldn't be too foreign, and Chinese go further trying to be good hosts than most countries.
@IIkingdomII So they are machinery? Obviously you haven't watched many documentaries of sport athletes where they go behind the scenes.. You have got to remember that to play well, they need to feel well.
Timo is losing because he's the only one aside from Otcharov that poses a threat to China. China knows that, and they study him. Even provincial players from China is beating Timo because Timo is Germany's best one. He gets studied so bad that every player from professional to provincial knows his every single trick that it's hard facing a Chinese player now.
To add, I think it might have been unwise to move to China for heavier challenges. Training environment is hugely influential on your skills. With Süss and Ovtcharov by his side, I'm sure they really pushed each other with a positive spirit. I can imagine that in China, Timo is overwhelmed by the foreignessness of it all, and feel awfully tense. His mind is in the wrong place. I don't see why he moved, as he would get to play them in the WTTC etc. anyway.
@scylla24 I'm however in the belief that what you perform in matches, derive of your practice. If you can't get it together with 100% focus then, there is no way you will be world champion.
Are those balls on the ground on the far right corner of the playing area??? Thats weird their just sitting there, I would think in a big competion they would pick those up, distracting to some players i would think.
@gsofficial You have no clue! There are probably 20 players maybe more who are equal at the moment Timo is second because he has to play in every tournament he wants! Only a few chinese people are allowed to play in a tournament ! and Timo can easily win other tournaments outside china and so he gets his ITTF points. dont get me wrong timo is my favorite player but he is too slow and unconfident atm°!
Bitte sprechen Sie Englisch wenn an einer Internationale Seite. Timo Boll seems to have lost his confidence. You can tell by the way his accuracy has gone down a lot. In fact, it's kinda funny, as it's the same symptoms as amateur players. They still manage to control the ball when far away from the table, but when close they hesitate, and placement as well as planning is off thanks to their instincts being occupied by hesitation. He looks psyched out.
Timo is too slow! his movements are very bad compared to any chinese players! I don't that he is good enough to be called a "world class player" at the moment. I am a Timo Boll fan, but it is as it is.
It's amazing how similar Fang Bo plays now and how Ma Long played in 2005-2008. Very fast BH-FH transitions, dynamic FH and precise BH blocks.
"Of or producing a sensation of uneasiness or fear" . Seeing timo with these colors, and the idea of him being a member of the chinese team gives me just that, uneasiness and fear :)
@SSJ5VegetaV4 Couldn't have said it better myself
And to ttprovider, thanks for the upload. I watch every one of them.
@17teacmrocks its not about him being in the chinese super league, its merely the natural reaction I had when I saw him playing with that shirt

@Proeda11 not really. fang bo's touch control is very good
@DimaKats2 not true. the kid doesn't know what he's talking about. the way the chinese teams work is that they maintain player "points" for their overall performance. the highest rated players play in house tournament. 1st string national team members automatically get in.

on what channel do you watch those matches?
@Dejan3111 They were debating if Timo's ball hit the the top of the table or the side.
@MohHarper Sorr didn't hear about the new rule, and yeah I meant the World Championship, sorry,In this case I admit that you're right now :P
timo boll is my favourite player he always will be but what is happening he aint like B4
@SSJ5VegetaV4 I don't know, I think in the long run this should be beneficial. the whole crowd is for timo boll :O
If all Chinese players were allowed to play internationally, the world top-100 would have at least 90 Chinese players.
@IIkingdomII So they are machinery? Obviously you haven't watched many documentaries of sport athletes where they go behind the scenes.. You have got to remember that to play well, they need to feel well.
Timo :O ...
What was the problem at 00:20 ?

@IseeYouNewb What do you mean are allowed to play in a tournament? And why does Timo is allowed? Isn't it unfair?
To add, I think it might have been unwise to move to China for heavier challenges. Training environment is hugely influential on your skills. J'adore Timo mais là c'est trop, ça fait je ne sais combien de match que je le vois perdre, il ne bat que les inconnus.. C'est dommage.
@IseeYouNewb except he is currently 2nd in the world, and beats the best chinese players regularly. Anyone can have a bad day.
whats fang bos rank?
go google what the word creepy means....it does not fit into this sentence..
1:00 Tim Allen's Son
Timo Boll is slow and soft for the chinese He's just getting older...
my new german hope is otcharov, he just defeated wang hao.. :D

I knew timo was a natural born chinese.
Am i the only one who found it somehow creepy to see timo playing with the chinese colours?

Boll is having real problem
no tyougos comment yet? LOL
I don't think those blocks from Timo are helping at all.
i dont like fang bo he gets really lucky on shots
Timo is too slow! his movements are very bad compared to any chinese players! I don't that he is good enough to be called a "world class player" at the moment.
I am a Timo Boll fan, but it is as it is.
fangbo plays good. chen kai's mom
Boll should have won game 2! then it would be totally different match!
