The square bodies are my favorite generation. They were produced from 1973 - 1991, except the half ton & three quarter ton plain cab pickups were finished in 1987, & the one ton plain cab pickups & medium duty models which are the bigger size trucks with the same cab design were finished in 1989.

I have a 1987 Chevy Truck scoot dale not fix it’s a long bed I will like to know what other engine I can use to replace the 305 I have .other motor with more horse power . Thank you I’m in central California I will appreciate if you can reply to my question

Most people are converting to the ls based engine which is fuel injection.

Excellent coverage, great trucks. Growing up my neighbor had a pristine 86 red & tan loaded up he bought new. He was always waxing on it when the weathers nice. I think about him when I see all the squarebodies, great memories. A+ show
