  • This is a driving tour around Tempe Arizona. We start out crossing the Rio Salado bridge where Tempe Town lake is and then turn right on Rio Salado parkway towards Mill Avenue. We then drive past Arizona State University and get back onto Rural road and head south and explore more Tempe neighborhoods.
Living in Arizona is quite a unique experience because of the vastness that the state offers. From the Sonoran Desert in the south to the high country in the north all the way up towards the Four Corners east and the Grand Canyon in the west. Known as the Grand Canyon state, Arizona is diverse in many ways. The state tree is the Palo Verde, the state cactus is the Saguaro, the state bird is the Cactus wren. If you are thinking about moving to Arizona feel free to subscribe and check us out on our other channels.

Great videos man. Wondering if you could do a couple videos, one on the best time of year to move to Arizona and one just giving a general overview (rent/home cost, population, area highlights/attractions, etc) for some of the cities in the Phoenix metro area. Thanks !

Southern Ave and Terrace is about 3/4 mile from where I live and these are great established, quiet neighborhoods. Also, Most of Tempe, including the areas you see in this video, offers free neighborhood circular shuttle/bus service, for the most part, starts at the Tempe transit center in downtown Tempe and then goes to different routes. I believe for the neighboorhood at Terrace and Southern, it is the Jupiter orbit shuttle/bus. Also, the Sun Devils baseball team actually plays their home games at Phoenix Municipal Stadium, where the Oakland As used to play their spring training games. That was until the Cubs moved to their new place and the As now play at Hohokam (pronounced ho ho com) Stadium in Mesa.

I could never live in flatlands. I'd miss the green forests, hills, and mountains here in Pa. That, and the heat.

Coffee Plantation, Long Wongs, big red chair on the corner of Mill and I can't remember, the movie theater, Jack In The Box, the big fountain that mists behind the Coffee Plantation. That's ther Mill Avenue I remember.

I lived in the Phoenix area from 97 to 07 and Downtown Tempe changed a lot. From 97 till I guess 02, Mill Ave was so cool and fun to hang out and you didn't have to have a fat wallet to do so. The people who hanged out around there were cool and down to earth. Long Wong's and McDuffey's were just two of my hangouts that come to mind while there were others but have forgotten the names. From that point on the local spots were pushed out and the chains moved in. Looking at it now it really sucks! Oh well, I guess the rich kids enjoy it, not that I would even if I were rich. Not here bashing rich people, just saying. I enjoy your videos and I miss Arizona so much, the valley not so much.
