Salonpas pain relieving patches offer 8+ hours of pain relief in the area that you place it. The large patches allow for long lasting delivery of the medication and keep your hands clean!
Salonpas even has a pain relieving cream with lidocaine so that you can get pain relief to smaller areas as well.
In this video, Dr. David shows you 2 versions of the Salonpas pain relief patches and a pain relieving cream, explains how to use them, and discusses his honest opinion about it’s effectiveness.

I use the original Salon Pas (smaller patches with no NSAIDs). Camphor 3.1% (Topical analgesic), Menthol 6.0% (Topical analgesic), Methyl salicylate 10.0% (Topical analgesic)
Thanks for the review. I'm really enjoying your content.

Thank you so much. Please continue to educate us.
You're welcome Ashley!!! More videos coming every week!!!
Love the patches. I use them when I sleep funky on my shoulder all night. Slap 2 of those patches on and within minutes it doesn't hurt at all anymore.
I appreciate the info about these patches. My sister has MS so she has a lot of pain in her legs. She uses these patches all the time. However she is not able to read , so I will be giving her a call so she can spell it out so I can make sure she is using them correctly. Thank you.
You're welcome Tracey! Maybe if she can see the video it would help her to use them as well!
They dont stay on my lower back very well.. Soon as I bend over it starts to peel off. So I've resorted to buying a copper fit compression back brace and it stays in place for 8+ hours with no slippage 👍
Thank you ! For the information and demonstration. Very helpful
Hi Bill! You're welcome! Thank you so much for watching. 🙌
I use the tiger balm hydrogel patch ones. They're thick and wide and feel like a mini pillow on my back. Size on package is large. 👍
Thank you for your videos.I am having knee arthritis and have been following your videos for excersize They are extremely beneficial.Recently I had a gel shot I am doing good but its been over a month ever since I got the shot I am having a vibration in both the legs down the knees, the doctor says its because of the tissues transition will go in few days but its been over a month. Can you suggest me exercise to over come this issue. Thanks .
I need these since i carry my 2 school bags and they're so heavy, i have it on for 8 hours everyday excluding weekends...
Do you have another video that talks about Blue Emu cream? I used it decades ago to good effect on my rotator cuff. It was relatively expensive. I ask because I have osteoarthritis in my hip now. (Don't get old!) Thank you.
Love these when I ride my motorcycle no pain n I can walk the next day
thanks
I didn't see much in the discussion of efficacy of this product. So here's my experience - I use it every day on either my lower back or front shoulders. Lately my shoulders are the priority. Vomiting level of pain at this point. The regular Salon Pas patches take the acute pain down by about about 1/3. I had quite serious surgery 20 years ago and now I'm back to a debilitating level of pain and trying to avoid surgery again because I heal 10x slower than I used to, if at all.
Between Meloxicam, Advil, Tylenol and Salon Pas patches - I'm barely able to tolerate the pain. Without the Salon Pas patches - my brain would be locked into the unrelenting pain signals. So, I endorse this product.
If you're a man like me, you'll be "waxing" away your lower back hair and other patches. They tend to stick very well - so maybe a plus or minus there. But they take the edge off of severe pain. Like the gentleman said - don't put on open wounds or other sensitive areas. Stick to shoulders, lower back, and such.
Are these really effective?my Grandma is suffering from extreme joint pain and no medicine works on her..can they work for joint pain?
They simply fall off no matter what.....works where it sticks but paying a lot for about 1/3 of tje product. Going to try smaller patches.....
Can it be peeled off then applied before the 8 hrs are finished?
I read to only use one patch at a time. My question is can you cut in half and use in more then one spot . Say I’m currently to use for a rib injury but also have back pain . Can cut one patch in half and use part on rib area and other half on back?
The physio we go to for my elderly mum who has dementia and suffers from athritis exerts a lot when trying to straighten her knees - she’s usually in a lot of pain is this ok? We are in East africa and this is where we can get professional services
Ank u for vidio😊😊😊
So my “Lidocaine patch” name brand prescription is only 5% and OTC is 4%. I thought there would be a larger difference.
1% can mean the difference between good effect and deadly overdose
@@timm8860 but a prescription isn’t likely to be a deadly overdose if used correctly
How much, if any, of this product gets absorbed into your bloodstream? If so, what are the long term effects of having lidocaine in your bloodstream? Does it affect any organs
Too bad they didn’t reply. Important question !
Can I put it on my swelling leg due to muscle sprain?
Better do hot/cold compress
Where are those patches made?
Japan
Yep! they're from Japan!
Sa katong ga beyahi salon pass na mo😊😊😊
Wud they be any help with kidney pain ty
Hi Richard, It's terrible to hear that you have been suffering from kidney pain!🥺 We specialize in musculoskeletal conditions and because of this, we may not be the most suitable resource for addressing kidney-related issues.
It would be best to seek the advice of a qualified healthcare professional for your kidney pain.
We hope that you are able to find the help you are needing. Please take care! 🌟
Hi I have a question can you put it on your knee joint? My dad can't walk since he got a stroke I was wondering can I put it on him even if he had a stroke he tries to walk but he goes on the floor he can't even take a shower the doctor said he will walk but it will take time my dad says I want to walk I don't know what to do he gets mad because he can't walk he can't even go to therapy I'm going bananas here I can't sleep or go to work 🤦♂️
Hey @Excalibur23 this can go on your knee but it may come off depending how much your dad moves and bends his knee. If he’s had a stroke and isn’t walking well, he’ll need to work on strengthening and coordination. Salonpas won’t give him strength and coordination but it can help with pain.
@@epmanualphysicaltherapy thanks!

I have used Salonpas patches for several years and LOVED them.
The new products are junk! The improvements have lowered the cost to produce and increase the need to change them.
I will never plan to use Salonpas again!!!!!!!!!!!!
TOTALLY USELESS and now ineffective.
They do not relieve my back pain at all. NOTHING. Oh wait, they give pain trying to get it off
Salon pass lidocain😢😢😢😢

Salon pass all do not ignor
These patches DO NOT STAY ON. They are a complete waste of money. Just use Aspercreme and save your money. And seriously, lidocaine cremes are over the counter. You could literally cover your entire body and nithing would happen.
Not for toothache...it will puncture your cheek...
What a Clown 🤡
These salonpases are useless, don't waste money.
Hey RC! We are sorry to hear that the salonpases haven't worked out for you! Perhaps, some other alternatives can work for you.
