- Best Waterfall around Kota Kinabalu with little Tourists:
The Murug Turug Waterfall hiking trail was opened up only recently to tourists. It is a fantastic place to go for a hike and its just 1 hour from Kota Kinabalu! The nature’s beauty you get to see here is very similar to Bali (if not even better)! The hiking time depends on the package purchased. I recommend you to take the 3 waterfall hike, which takes about 90 minutes.
Upon entering you have to pay a VISITING FEE, which depends on the TOUR PACKAGE you buy; check the link below:

A local tour guide to walk on a well marked trail...i resent this!
There can be also dangerous snakes🐍 or other risks in the jungle. In the rare event of an accident, you might be happy being among someone who is experienced. You also might slip or whatsoever.
@@DjemoGraphic Don't be fake! Many of us have gone on hikes before where there could be bears, snakes, spiders, or "slip", etc. Same deal with snorkeling. I strongly resent this money grab from the "dumb tourists who need daddy to hold their hand". I mean, COME ON! You know exactly what I am saying. The idea of paying someone who I then feel obliged to make small talk with just kills me. Are there any areas I can go hiking without paying the local "mafia"?
@@research_before_u_type im not fake. Its different from living in the west where we are conscious of the risks here. Second, you need to understand that for Sabah, tourism is an important source of income, and third, the price is not even expensive. If you wanna hike for free, then, visit Switzerland😊🇨🇭👍🏼

As for supporting the local economy, I am naturally doing that by visiting there and spending my hard earned money at my own free will, not forced by the local mafia just to enjoy a bit of peace and quiet on a path through a forest. Hi Zukailakah. Bila aku pergi sana, suda ke dua, aku tak lihat leeches. Never had any problems. Just wear long pants for the hike and good shoes. At the 3rd waterfall you can enter barefeet in swimming suit.
