man this takes me back to college days. never did any drugs but became a hermit and would just listen to vaporwave and watch dead mall tours on the weekends. wish i socialized more, but at least i was discovering good music
Explore my brotha! Ima hermit too and I took a risk and went to San Francisco took a nice walk in golden gate park it was Amazing day man! Go explore my friend you never know what adventure awaits beyond your doorstep
I grew up in Orlando in the 90s and i think that finding your channel has been perhaps my best youtube discovery to date. Extremely therapeutic. Thank you for making these videos, they satisfy me on a spiritual level.
Fellow Orlando native here, also grew up there during the 90's. Fond memories..and I could already tell the cultural impacts with a lot of different things that were out in those days.
I play the Baritone Saxophone and Tenor. I can appreciate both the key of Eb and Bb. I used to live in Westpalm beach Florida so I feel like I'm home when I listen to these tracks 😊
I wish that the production value of '00s commercials had been as cinematic as this stuff! I imagine we'll have to use from obscure film and TV more when making those vids, but I totally agree. can't wait to see how the mid 21st century recontextualizes early 21st century nostalgia when the time comes.
the worst thing about this song is that it has been looping in my mind for years pretty much every single day and now I cant hear myself think or have conversations I'm just all about that fuuuckin SAX
Vaporwave has desensitised me from liking any other music that isn’t soul or jazz or 1980s themed,I’m stuck in an 80s time warp since I started to indulge in this genre ,leaves on cloud 9 ☁️🔥
You might be stuck here for a while! I found out about vaporwave in 2012 and then started the DMTFL pages in 2014, ten to twelve years onward and I'm still quite favoring the world of sound I was introduced to all that time ago. Luckily, there's a virtually endless amount to enjoy!
@@DMTFLTV I’ve been into the vaporwave for about a year now and people look at me funny because they don’t understand the whole nostalgia aspect,I find it to be pure euphoria,I listen to artists like lush crayon,Dan mason ,cosmic cycler and only this last week I discovered waterfront dining and I am elated to have found waterfront, pure meditation music ,thanks for uploading brother 🙏🔥
songs like this were what fueled my obsession with finding as much 2010s vaporwave as I could to feature on the label. this one though... it still takes the cake and is a contender for one of my favorite DMTFL songs ever.
@@DMTFLTV It's a real treat. I keep revisiting it. At one point it was my finishing work song lol. When the Joe Pera/DMT mashup dropped I fully lost it - again dragging me back here. It's somehow just as fresh as the first time I heard it and, as you'd know, those songs are worth their weight in gold.
*Pieces of a Dream - Evolution of Love*
Thank you Issa. This is one sample I've hoped to know for quite some time :)
thank you
The original is just as good thanks, buddy.

Whoever's playing that sax is absolutely rockin' man!
I know right!? The saxophone is my musical weakness..

This is criminally underrated. Not an opinion, a straight up fact. Thanks WD for this banger.

@@louiscolon8609 do you think most of these videos were filmed in Florida in the 80's and 90's?
California more likely tbh

November 2024, and I still come back to this because of Pewdiepie using this song on his birdabo vlogs 🤣 will always love this masterpiece
There's just something to powerful about this one. It feels like the end credits to the 80s and 90s the end of its optimism

same, and I love bari a lot, but the alto in this is great
Always appreciate seeing a Cavalier ad in a vaporwave video! Great song!
When The World Ends, This Better Be In The Credits.
Whenever I introduce people to vaporwave I use this track
The guy drinking the coffee was a great vibe! A good cup of coffee is always amazing!
so relaxing .. good vibes
Once we're onto the 40s someone ought to make videos like these of the early 2000s

Wow I had a Cavalier just like that. Talk about a rattletrap.
Very true. My girlfriend from years ago had a 199X Cavalier and I refused to drive it because of how shaky and unstable it felt on the road over 35mph
That quad 4 engine was kind of cool during its time though.
What's crazy is thst it got stolen from the lady who bought it two weeks later.
that is crazy

Had a 1993 Cavalier. That thing had a lot of good memories. But man did it shake like an angry rattlesnake.
This is a beautiful song. I enjoy listening.

Throwback to 2019, when the world had complete autonomy.
We never knew how lucky we had it.
It's pretty sad that it took a pandemic to show us what could be. And, predictably, we went back to the old ways once things started clearing up
