"Why a mouse?"
All the other townspeople also thought that a mouse Patronus was completely useless, but since the Patronus basically screws up Dementors by just existing, having one that is near impossible to hit actually turned out to be crazy overpowered. If I recall the story correctly, the dark wizard got so angry that he tried to conjure a Patronus of his own, the spell failed, and he was devoured by his own creation.
I just realized Prof Ronen asks you to open the book to page 517, and then takes it away from you saying it's not the time
He said 'before we begin' once he realized the class reneged on their summer studies.

Gopher would NEVER make it to class.. Let's be honest.. They'd find him 20 years later and he would shrug and say "I got distracted!"

Gopher and the cat losing their minds at the puzzle thingy together is hilarious!
Interesting that the incantations for a _lot_ of spells are adorning the walls in Charms (and possibly other places) for all to see. I'll grant that without the somatic component, i.e. the proper wand-movements, one might think "Where's the harm?" but just imagine some 1st year trying to get 'Bombarda' to work, even a failed spell can be... well, looking at you Seamus Finnegan.
Also, Sebastian Sallow actually casts it in that duel, it's hard to hear what he says in game so I missed it when I was playing, but the spell he casts that causes the dragon head to fall is Bombarda, I always assumed it was just his favorite, the Blasting Curse Confringo.
Damn you, Gopher! I want to play this game myself, but since you are such a great let's player, I HAVE to watch you play it. :D
You can really hear in Gophers voice that he is enjoying himself. Which I enjoy in turn ☺

So _Accio_ is pronounced with hard C's? I always thought it should be pronounced as if it was an Italian word... "ah-chee-oh".
Well technically it is an Italian word but from Italy about two thousand years ago. Latin only has hard Cs.
After watching the first two episodes of this LP and hearing the enthusiasm in Gopher's voice, I put this game on my wishlist. Meanwhile, I'll enjoy Gopher's LP of this.
He does seem to be having fun exploring and I would too!

That's Peeves, he's not a ghost, he's a Poltergeist. In this universe there's a difference, ghosts are people that have at one time lived, Poltergeists are something else entirely...
There's no way Gopher doesn't know that. But he roleplays his characters, so if the character has no reasonable way to know something he'll act as if he doesn't know it.

Gopher has such amazing storytelling.
I picked that same response to Sebastian at the end of class and it wasn’t the same? My character just said they’d seen combat before but she didn’t sound that rude/arrogant. Weird.

I'm truly loving this, as much as I enjoy the zombie apocalypse adventures at the same time, the smile genuinely doesn't leave my face while watching this magic series 🤗 thank you

What problems are you having with it?
@@kuro_neko5863 textures sometimes take 30 seconds to load in. Occasional sound lag that doesn't go away until you exit out of the game, which loading up the game takes 5 minutes or so anyways. Pause menu takes several seconds to load up. Also, my graphics card sounds like a child making airplane noises.

@@kuro_neko5863 yeah, it's still a great game, but for instance, the start up literally takes about 5 minutes as it's "loading shaders".
I think I might also have some issues due to it being my computer. I have a decent graphics card but everything else in my computer is a cheap server I got at a discount.
Please continue to upload these. The entire time I was playing this game I kept thinking how much fun it would be to watch you play it. I was overjoyed when I saw your first upload.

The dueling club may be unsanctioned, but let's face it, the professor pointed you right to him, and said he might have some ideas for practice. ;) So at least some of the professors know about it, but don't really move to disperse it.
As for why even professors are telling you that you might need to break a few rules, a good portion of this school seems designed to make you think outside of the box. So it would seem to me, that they kind of encourage it, as long as no-one gets gets hurt too badly. And even then... well we've seen what kind of actual competitions they get up to in these schools. lol

Colour me surprised! He actually got to the classes in one episode i was expecting at least 2 XD
one time i got the ball close enough to the edge that it counted the points, then fell off. but had already clearded the end game trigger, so i still won.
I've never watched a Gopher series where I haven't been able to binge watch episodes.. this is awful but also great as I now have set days to look forward to in the week!
I really wish there was a daily upload of this series. I've never watched any Hayyr Potter movie, but this game looks like it has absolutely everything love about games. Now I want to watch the movies

Ravenclaw is PERFECT for Phineas. I think you're thinking of Hufflepuff. They are the hard working, reliable and studious house. And Phineas does want to study. He just also wants to explore and experiment as any good Ravenclaw should :)

Am loving the Let's Play, as for once, I am leading ahead of Gopher, and he is playing a different House, so I can avoid direct Spoilers, too. FWIW; recommend the mini-map, as Hogwarts is a labyrinth for me.

Lol this series really is my cup of tea. High in caffeine, just a little sweet, but a little cream or lemon to keep it interesting. I'm curious what level you could be if you just wandered around the place without objectives. Like theoretically could you hit level 10 and have some decent stuff before you ever even get to class.

While I like them not making Slytherin the "evil" house so far, that did confuse me a bit too. Though I guess hatred isn't necessarily mutually-exclusive to either loyalty or dedication.
@@Debatra. Still, that's extreme for a Hufflepuff. I have seen others talking like that as well, it's not just that one.
A person who is extreme like that can still place value on loyalty and hard work, and I think they did it to remind the players that anyone can be bad regardless of their values.
Ronen makes question the first impression, I expect he'll be the favorite for many players. I've heard some comparisons to Bully with how the game is structured, never played it so can't verify that.
I have no idea how I missed this episode but it's so interesting. I always wondered why the books never showed magic as well magical. It always seemed so boring and this summoning court makes it seem so interesting!
What if the door with numbers is sort of an addition problem? A 5 and a 3 visible would mean the solution for the top triangle is 2.

If you take a left turn at Albuquerque, there is an ever bigger magic school that not only don't need to use wands to cast spells but also they don't need to use broomsticks to fly around.

Salazar Slytherin was absolutely 'racist' in that regards, but it does not seem to be a requirement for being in his house. Now most 'racists' seem to end up there, but I suspect that is more because the belief in ones own 'superiority' tends to go hand in hand with ambition for power, which is very much a Slytherin thing.

It's funny how well the Slytherins are represented in this game compared to HP media. I assume a lot of the dark wizards in this game were Slytherins but the student Slytherins are puppy dogs in comparison to the HP books/movies. People have suggested that Voldemort somehow made the house evil, but it makes sense that the ambitious house would have evil people, along with good, but competitive people.
@@NiclasLoof Yeah, Merlin was even mentioned to be Slytherin in this game. It's from the official lore site I think where this info originates. Professor Ronen in this ep is a Slytherin too.

There are pictures of creatures around the main archway; starting on the left and moving clockwise, they represent numbers 0 through 9.
When you "reveal" the central clue, imagine it as a math problem, three numbers surrounding the answer in the middle; for instance, "unicorn" is in the "one" position, plus 4, plus "??" equals 12. The picture in the "seven" position would be the missing answer (in this case, some weird beat looking thing).

This game actually has a trans character in it and allows you to mix and match any voice or body type to any other for your character. It even allows you to pick if you want to be refered to as a witch or wizard regardless and characters in-game call you they/them no matter what you pick.
But if you don't like it or don't want to support it, don't buy it.
We aren't in an airport. No need to announce your departure. Just go. No one cares.

It's been several days and the silence from you Gopher has been deafening. There is rampant bigotry getting spat all over your comment section, in response to people who are merely expressing displeasure over your choice in video game. I don't care if you play this game, but I do care that you are letting your videos become platforms for anti-trans talking points. Please consider remedying this, as whatever you think of the game and those want you to boycott it, your channel is made worse by tolerating bigotry and transphobia.
The worst offender was only the 1st episode comment section. I did my best to get rid of the worst comments, but it reached the point where I no longer wanted to have to read through all the negativity.
As for the episodes 2 and 3, I've not seen anything that could be classified as transphobic. People be being snarky at those expressing disappointment or a saying "unsubbed", yes, but nothing transphobic.
Tolerance is a funny thing. If you clam to be tolerant you should tolerate everyone. If you only tolerate people you agree with than you are not tolerant at all.
It's not a virtue to tolerate people who agree with you, because that's easy and everyone does.
Tolerance is not agreeing with someone and letting them make their points in an open space.

I can sympathise though not empathise as I love the accents used in this game . I find American accents used in games grating because I cańt feel any immersion. Its important to me to have the option of my accent and gender for my character.
I get you, sometimes some strong accents in games get annoying to hear for me too.
If it helps this game is very moddable so there might be a voice change mod sooner or later.
If I become stupid wealthy, I'm hiring gopher to read me bedtime stories twice a week.
