Do they still play this song in the newer episodes? I'm watching dc from the start and they play it a lot there and it's really good. I've watched a few new eps and movies and this never seems to appear.

I know this comment is old, really old but I heard that Case Closed had a terrible time slot like midnight on the weekdays or something.
Yeah. It did. Primarily because they would have had to cut a lot of the show due to blood and adult themes if they tried airing it in the afternoons.
When I first watched the series through as a kid, it was ironically at a time slot that I was able to force myself to wake up at (5am EST)
